PPat, Flynn, Hill to LAL for Odom Lowry/Dragic/ dunleavy Martin/Lee/ Dunleavy vet min Odom/Budinger/Parsons/ morris Scola/Morris/ Hayes re-sign ?/Motiejunas/Thabeet/ hayes Add a free agent C like Fesenko or Kwame Every position is covered by a player who isn't shorter than 6-9. Substitute the superstar by creating mismatches instead.
Getting Odom is like putting a bandaid on a gun shot wound. Might cover up the wound but doesnt stop the bleeding. I prefer if we went Lee Hill and Flynn to GS for Biedrins and their first unprotected next year. With Ellis leaving they need his replacment on the scoring end in Lee and you know the first next year wont be higher than 6.
To me, the best trade target right now is Nene. Marc Gasol is nice, but no way the Grizz give him up, and we don't have the capspace to "truly" overpay him. Biedrins? C'mon now, that dude is always injured, and his style of play leaves him prone to injury (like Dwade). So, rather than bashing our heads against the proverbial wall why don't we target Nene from the Nuggets? Just like us they're hovering in rebuilding mode, unlike us though they don't have any young frontcourt players to build around. The only problem here is the Nuggs GM is a bit of a douche, he'll probably ask for a leg and arm for Nene. However we have young promising PFs coming through our noses, might as well use them: Nene for Hill, Cash, Terrence Williams, Courtney Lee and PP or Donatas. Denver transitions straight into rebuild mode, and Lee, T-will and PP/D-mo give them some solid prospects to work with while saving some $$$. OR We can trade Hill and Lee for Asik. Chicago thought Lee for Asik was too little but if we add JHill they might think its worth it, gives them that SG they need alongside D. ROse as well as a guy who can play both C and PF positions, and basically replace Boozer when he's playing soft.
Nene is a (restricted) free agent, and Denver is already looking to resign him. Adding to the fact that Nene actually wants to return to Denver. So there's about no chance at all that they will offer him in a sign and trade. However the Asik and Lee deal is still very much a possibility. Probably our best chance at acquiring a center with defensive prowess. I would include one of our back up PG's(the worser of either Flynn or Dragic) in a deal for Asik + filler and see if they bite.
I think a deal with Denver is still a good option. They're one of the few teams that need a PF, with the likely departure of the often injured Kenyon Martin. Rockets receive: SF Danilo Gallinari, C Kosta Koufos and C Chris Andersen Rockets clear some unwanted depth at the PF while getting a couple of defensive center's in Anderson and Koufos in return. As well as a great scoring SF with terrific size, 6'10, in Danilo Gallinari Denver receives: PF Luis Scola, SG/SF Chase Budinger and PF Jordan Hill The Nuggets get a legit low post scoring option in Luis to team up with Nene inside, both have games that make up for each others weaknesses. They also get to move Wilson Chandler, who they see as their SF of the future, to his natural position at the 3 spot. 2011 - 2012 Houston Rockets Roster: Lowry | Flynn | Dragic Martin | Lee | T-Will Gallinari | Morris | Parsons Patterson | Motiejunas Andersen | Koufos | Thabeet
How about Jonny Flynn for Jason Thompson? Sacramento needs a true PG and Thompson hasn't been getting good PT with Cousins in town... Houston gets a player who is 6'11 and rebounds
Houston Trades: Jonny Flynn Houston Receives: Marreese Speights Sacramento Trades: Donte Greene Sacramento Receives: Jonny Flynn Philadelphia Trades: Marreese Speights Philadelphia Receives: Donte Greene Houston picks up a legit center Sacramento picks up a true PG and trades away a SF that they've been trying to rid of Philadelphia picks up an athletic SF to take AI's spot after he is traded and trades away a player that they drafted a replacement for
Why would Morey go from propsing Lee for Asik + Bobcats pick to this? He may ask for too much, but that's kinda what he does, isn't it? It's the Bulls who are in contention and need to soften their stands.
1- Keep Dragic and Hayes. 2- Sign a center. Especially Nene. If he is not then DeAndre, Chandler, even Dalembert. 3- And here we go: Houston Receives: Andre Iguodala. Philadelphia Receives: Luis Scola, C-Bud, Dragic and whoever they'd want except for PatPat, Martin, Lowry, Morris, D-Mo, Lee. Rotation: Lowry/ Flynn (yeah I prefer Flynn instead of Dragic) Martin/ Lee/ Twill Iggy/ Morris/ Parsons PatPat/ D-Mo/ Hill Nene/ Hayes We all want Scola to retire as a Rocket but it's Patterson time now. This team is a automatic playoff team. And is just one step away from a championship: A true superstar. Whenever a superstar would want his trade, our Rockets would be on the top of his wishlist with this roster. For Phila, they can't trust Elton Brand. Scola would be good for them. They can use C-Bud as a young talent etc. Maybe they can also take draft picks from us. Also if Granger is available then we should try to take him instead of Iggy. It would be even better. Greetings from Turkey guys.
1. Houston gets: Asik Chicago gets: Lee + Parsons 2. 3-team trade Houston gets: Granger Denver gets: Scola, Houston 2012 2nd pick Indy gets: Gallinari, Andersen, Bud, Thabeet (exp. contract), Denver 2013 1st rd pick. Its great for all teams involved. Houston upgrades at the SF position. Indy gets a vastly improving Gallinari, Bud to come off the bench, Thabeet's expiring contract, and Andersen to compliment Hibbert and Hansbrough off the bench. They would make 12mil of cap space once Thabeet and Posey's contracts expire. Bringing in Scola could help Nene stay for them. That also allows Chandler to becoming the SF. They could sign Jason Richardson to back up Chandler or Affalo and bring the offense off the bench. Here what the teams would like like Houston Lowry/Dragic/ Flynn (exp.contract) Martin/ Dragic/ T-will (exp.contract) Granger/ Morris Patterson/ Chuck/ Motie Asik/ Yao?/ Motie Indy Collison/ George Hill (exp.contract)/ A.J Price George/ Rush Gallinari (exp.contract) / Bud/ Jones Hansbrough/ Andersen Hibbert (exp.contract)/ Andersen/ Thabeet (exp.contract) Denver Lawson/ Miller Affalo/ forbes Chandler Scola/ Harrington Nene?/Mozgov/ Kofus
Variation of the popular bulls trade. Lee + Hill for Asik + rights to Mirotic + future pick considerations (not the Cats pick) makes too much sense for both teams to actually happen?
Andris beidrins, 2012 1st round pick for luis scola, chase budinger, Jordan hill C- Beidrins, D-mo, Yao PF- Patterson, Hayes SF- Morris, Parson, Williams SG- Martin, Lee PG- Lowry, Dragic, Flynn Whatdo you guys think?
2 things -- 1) The warriors have already given their pick to someone else -- top 7 protected to the Jazz 2) I would not give up any rotation players for Biendrens -- if they do make the deal Houston would be doing the Warriors a big favor -- so I would only consider it a good deal if it was something like Williams, Hill and Thabeet for Biendrens.
