What really surprised me was how forceful and focused the LGBT groups pushing this really were. I wonder if/hope this will add momentum to the movement across the country.....

Looks like my wife's sister can finally plan her wedding too......

“You might not like that. You might be very cynical about that. Well, **** it, I don't care what you think. I'm trying to do the right thing.

“I'm tired of Republican-Democrat politics. They can take the job and shove it. I come from a blue-collar background. I'm trying to do the right thing, and that's where I'm going with this.”

Governor Cuomo Signs Same Sex Marriage Bill Into Law

Governor Cuomo signed the bill into law at 11:15pm on Friday, which means the law will take effect on July 24, 2011.

 

Wow that's awesome. He's my new hero in the senate

 

Would have been nice if this could have happened on Paterson's watch, but I guess he really dropped the ball up there.

 

I hope the GOP primary debate moderators have the good sense to ask about this; just to get the candidates' reactions on the record.

It's only taken a little over two hundred years to extended our Constitutional rights to all our citizens.
