If nothing else, Jonny Flynn is a $3.4M expiring contract who was just traded for Brad Miller's corpse.

While you're not getting an All-Star in exchange for a package centered around Flynn, it shouldn't be too difficult to trade him if push came to shove.

David Kahn's "trouble" moving Flynn before was due to the fact that Kahn was simply asking for too much . . . as usual for him.

Why is everyone so down on this guy? He had a good rookie year and was hurt last year. He is only 22 and has room to improve. He was the 6th pick of the 09 draft....

He is young and has room to impress everyone, but other than being viewed as an expiring contract, I wonder if we could get future picks or an actual player for him... I would sign off on Flynn/Hill/Williams for Bargnani

    Bargnani makes 8.5 mill
    The Rockets 3 make 8.1

Picked by Khan, the ever-stupid GM of Minn. Timberwolves.....the number means nothing.

He's just not needed. Behind Dragic/Lowry, he won't be able to show much. The only way he's going to stay and be happy on this team is by markedly improving his game.

If that happens, he'll be loved, but no one's expecting anything of him. I've heard Flynn and "bust" used a ton today.

We'd get more use and value from him than the three other guys. the Raptors upgrade at Pg, De rozan at sg,twill at f, Hill at Pf maybe bench minutes. and we get a starter that stretches the perimeter. win win for everyone and raps are bleeding money right now, all three guys they get will be expiring after next season and Bargnani has 4 years left

this is classical watching games from the stats sheet.

if you did watch his game a little bit, you will find out that he constantly running into situation that either force up shoot because nowhere to go or choose shooting over passing when teammates are in a much better position.

Flynn doesn't have a sense of where his teammates are. i'm not saying he cant make a good pass from time to time, but it is not a nature of his game.

So what about Aaron Brooks, Brooks was not a good passer but still made a suitable PG for the Rockets. I'd tell you that these are two completely different players, first of all, Aaron Brooks being a bad passer is understandable because he is short, when tall guys crowded him, his court vision will be very limited. secondly, Brooks' speed and 3pt shooting has bailed him out many times, but Flynn over the years has not displayed one single skill set that worth coach put him on the court, dribbling to create space, or speed to make defender chasing, or deadly shooting, or good defense, NONE

I'm not a hater, and I just told you my reasons to believe why Flynn can't be a good PG for the Rockets (or any NBA teams). Unless Flynn develops a skill set that can keep him on the court, he won't survive in the NBA.

This is 100% true. Minnesota has completely given up on him.

Montie vs Heavily Protected (Non-Lotto First) + 2nd. Motie should have more value, which implies that Brad Miller has more value than Johnny Flynn (due to Miller's insurance money next year, and 800k guaranteed the year after).

Having less value than Brad Miller really tells you how horrible Flynn is. If you read the Wolves board, their fans have labeled Flynn a bust long ago and don't really care that he has been shipped.

Thats what I thought too, just saying with Jonas in Toronto know Bargnani is expendable for the right pieces. Toronto needs a pg, Del fino proved unsuccessful, we have 13 players on our books and still Morey speaks of free agency, we shed roster spots, get a contributing 7footer for under 10 mill which is impossible these days. Makes since for everyone to me, but thats the problem, it makes to much sense. Trades that don't make sense usually happen. I.E. George Hill to Pacers.
