Summer time, any good Ice Cream Parlor's in Houston?? Preferably ones that open late night?? I live in the Houston/Alief area...
Did all the Cold Stone Creameries shut down in Houston? I used to love those. The rage is now Swirl, Red Mango and Pinkberry. Gelato Blu on Memorial is the best gelato in Houston easy.
somebody pleaaaase tell me where to get salted caramel ice cream. it seems like it's all the rage at fancy ice cream shops but i'm not aware of any in houston.
Not out by Alief or even open late, but the best ice cream place in Houston is Hanks Ice Cream by Reliant. Fantastic home made style ice cream - try the banana pudding ice cream and thank me later.
I went here expecting to be blown away from all the good things I've heard. I had the dark chocolate with marshmallows and I was so disappointed. The marshmallows were stale and the chocolate tasted a little off. I would have been happier with a pint of Haagen-dazs. I'm looking forward to trying Paciugo.
For some reason the one on Westheimer, the one in Memorial City Mall, and the one out I10 all closed. Last time I looked, the closest ones around Houston were Pearland and The Woodlands.
Hank's Ice Cream, on South Main near Reliant Stadium. Best ice cream in Houston, by far. Don't know how late they stay open, though.
Marble Slab is good, but not too far above the rest. They're all good for quenching the thirst during this drought. I will agree with Ms. 'bound... besides being the bomb, it's also delicious, creamy, and refreshing. YUM-A-DUM-DUM. They have gift cards, too. What about all these new FROZEN YOGURT places that are appearing everywhere? Yogurtland is one I would choose.
I tried Hanks for the first time today, and they are now at the top of my list for best in town. Its all hommade and the flavors are all unique. I got a scoop of butter pecan and a scoop of banana pudding, both were amazing. I also tried Guiness which was pretty interesting.
Marble Slab, ghetto as hell but enjoyed the sweet cream/pretzel/rasberry combined flavors in my fresh baked cup... I miss Cold Stone, is it really shut down in Houston?? too bad they shut down in my area.. Gotta try that Ritter's Frozen Custard sooon...
