My guess: Morey doesn't trade up to take a chance on a center, because they are too likely to end up busts. I think we instead trade up for a swingman like Leonard or Singleton who is a bit more of a sure thing. He'll take a chance on drafting a center with the second 1st rounder, if one is left.

"Bobcats want Tristan Thompson at 7 and either Biyombo, Leonard or Marcus Morris at 9. Kings want Kemba or Jimmer at 10."

Those options have all types of potential to completely crush Charolette as a franchise.

Bobcats downgrade from Jackson to Maggette to leapfrog Detroit. Who was Detroit rumored to be after? Tristan Thompson or Biyombo. Look for the Bobcats to take one of those, now that they have their SF spot filled. Hopefully, this means Detroit is willing to trade down now if their guy is picked. The question is, who do the Rockets pick if they get the 8th pick?

BPA who happens to be one of the most productive and efficient players in the nation as a junior.

    Please let it be.

If they take Thompson at 7th they won't take Biyombo at 9th. That front line would have no offensive game what so ever. I think Morris or Leonard are more viable options. If Leonard isn't already off the board by then.

My prediction: Kanter falls a few spots out of the top 4 and DM makes a play to trade up and snag him.

Cho won that deal, in a weak bottom half of the East, they will make the playoffs with two smart picks while collecting assets for a bigger deal down the road...sounds familiar. Amazing what hiring a good GM can do.

Useless, no. That "new" GM has been on the job for 4 years now. While DM has shown a better touch at actually drafting live bodies that can play the game, he still shuffles through players in much the same manner as did CD. The article shows a goodly number of his draft picks that now play for other teams. That's what is really missing here: young players who we drafted that have grown up in our system (whatever that is/was). Because of this, I simply don't believe that anyone he drafts tonight will still be around in 2-3 years.

Which one of those draft picks would you rather have still playing for us?

Landry? I'd rather have Kevin Martin.

Brooks? I'd rather have Dragic and the 23rd pick.

Donte Greene? I'd rather have Ron Artest -> Ariza -> Courtney Lee.

So who is it, SPECIFICALLY, that you still want "growing up in our system"?
