if we move all the way to 7th and have to give up Courtney Lee and 2 draft picks and we get Bioymbo i will be so mad… Bismack isn't that good to give up 2 first round draft picks AND Lee… if Morey does that he isn't a "genius"...

It looks like every team is high on Valanciunas now. Doubtful we can get him. A move to 7 is a little strange. There seems to be a lot of uncertainty on the various mocks about the order there, with Vesely, Leonard, Biyombo, Fredette, Tristan Thompson, and Klay Thompson all being possible in a variety of orders in the 7-10 range. If we are moving to 7, it would have to be b/c Morey rates one of these guys significantly higher. Very hard to say who that would be, since they all have weaknesses. I'd be happy with either Leonard (more conservative) or Biyombo (more risk). Tristan Thompson seems to have the most buzz, but on his workout videos he doesn't look any better than PatPat.

They were reporting here in San Antonio this morning that the Spurs were in late negotiations with the Kings and Jefferson's contract was the hang up. Tony Parker was pouting on local media yesterday that he didnt was to leave the Spurs. Spurs owner was quoted as saying that they are "not actively shopping any more, but still answering the phone when it rings".....
haha who cares if i am.. your a morey lover?? so what.. my point is all we have heard is we have thrown out like 6,000 different combinations to move up and were still at 14 and 23.. i honestly would rather stay where we are than give up 2 picks and lee for a risk like Bismack…

Yeah... the Spurs owner calls the Kings and say "Can you please call me so I can answer your call about Tony Parker?" Woj says the leak about "having a deal" may be an effort to push the Spurs off their demand about taking Jefferson. We'll see if there is a settlement on that front. Also, the Spurs are said to want Valanciunas... I wonder if they still do the deal if Valanciunas is off the board by 7th.
Trades are normally made at the draft itself. Nobody likes to deal beforehand because the uncertainty in the draft orders usually means other teams will keep making you offers, which might be better, up until all the picks are done. The fact that Morey hasn't made a deal yet is not a flaw... there haven't been ANY official trades yet. I'm not super-high on Bismack. But I think a high-risk strat is fine at this point. I would rather see us completely flame out this year and get a good pick for next year's loaded draft, than see us get an average player that keeps us stuck in the middle.
