Apparently they do basketball for a living. But then again, so do guys like Kahn. Your point?

Morey sweetened it to 14, 23 and Lee for 10 and Bogut ;)

Thats pretty steep but Courtney Lee for the 10th pick is decent I guess.

Just speculations but I am guessing/hoping:

    1. If Lee is involved, the trade package would only be one pick to MIL. That is, something like Lee +14 for Ilyasova+10. No #23 involved. Hell, even Lee + 23 for Ilyasova+10 seem fair.

Ilyasova is a pretty good player but I think Lee is more valuable.

    2. I don't think they are targeting whoever is available at 10. In fact, I think they are trying to make a deal for SAC's 7th pick. Specifically, SAC is said to be interested in Jimmer. They probably cannot get him at 14, but 10th is reasonable. So, I think they have an agreement with SAC to do a deal involving the 10th and the 7th pick, assuming the Rockets acquire the 10th.

I think there is a reason why they don't want to wait until draft night to deal... too complicated to make two "trade-up" deals while the draft is going on, need to lock up something solid first.

I think the price is okay. Lee is pretty much good because of his reputation being boosted by the Orlando Finals team he was starting on.

I'd do Lee for number 10 any day.

I think Morey is trying to collect picks to move up to number 2.

But is it lee for 10th straight up? Doubt it

Maybe 14 and lee for 10 and ilyasova?

I think folks here underrate Ilyasova. The Turkish Ice Truck Killer seems like the type of guy Morey would like. Only 23 years old and productive (14.4 PER), with a good skill set. Also was extremely good when he played in Spain. He was teammates with ex-Rocket David Andersen, actually.

So we should trade our backup SG for a third string "stretch 4" that can't shoot 3s? I'd rather have Asik.

Guess who would also rather have Asik? The Chicago Bulls.

I'm not saying Ilyasova is better than Lee or fits the team's need more. Remember the Rockets are doing this to get the 10th pick, not as a straight up Lee/Ilyasova trade (in fact, I don't know if Ilyasova is even part of the discussion in this scenario). I'm just saying that Ilyasova is a pretty good player to have as part of a package.

I also think he can play some significant minutes for this team, especially if a future trade cost the team Scola.

Wow. If we're offering Lee, then no way am I including #14 with it. Lee + #23 for Ilyasova + #10.

Asik is not untouchable and Courtney Lee clearly puts us in the picture, since they have interest. Is the 10th pick worth it to lose out on that option? Maybe, especially if we are after a center in the draft. But it is a question worth pondering.

    Sure does. Then the 10 + 14 + Scola for 2 :)

I wonder what the bulls would say to Courtney Lee and the 14th pick for Asik? did we already offer them that?

You've already made my point. You and the guy that said he "can't play a lick." Hill did 13/10 per 36 last season. Not that he doesn't have a lot to learn, but "can't play a lick" should mean something entirely different. It sure seems the Bucks, and the whole NBA, I am sure, look at it differently.
