People mocking the Rockets drawn-out head coach search. Compare the Rockets process to how Minnesota is handling things. Or the Lakers just making random moves without explanation. Firing their broadcasters and everything.
I think Elston Turner would be a good choice. They have some good pieces to implement Adelman's offense.
In other news, Washington's Lorenzo Romar was seen tossing his iPhone into a dumpster, boarding up his house, and heading north on I-95 in an unmarked white van.
I'm not surprised but I am about the timing. According to some local sportswriters the Wolves would wait to see if there would be a lockout that way they wouldn't have to pay him.
Apparently yes. http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news;_y...jnarowski_minnesota_firing_kurt_rambis_062211 Bernie Bickerstaff, an assistant coach with the Portland Trail Blazers, will be one of the primary focuses of the Wolves’ search, sources said. Bickerstaff’s son, J.B., had been an assistant on Rambis’ staff, and one scenario could have J.B. serving under his father as a coach-in-waiting. Bickerstaff has been the head coach of four teams, including the Charlotte Bobcats, Washington Wizards, Denver Nuggets and Seattle SuperSonics. His career record is 414-512.
What in the hell was Rambis supposed to do with that roster? He got great seasons out of Beasley and Love, did they really expect them to win?
I don't think Rambis is a particularly good coach, but what a joke that franchise is. You wait until all viable candidates are off the market to do this? The season has been over for two months!
He didnt actually get fired, he saw that McHale was coaching this season and said "Kahn I'm going to make you look good and leave. this way we both win you do the best thing ever as GM and I don't get punked by McHale".
