why would we give up the chance to draft two 6' 9" players in order to draft one?

I've heard that Ilyasova wants a buyout from the Bucks to maybe sign with a russian team.

If they like PPat so much how about our #14, #23, PPat, Chase, J. Hill, and the Knicks pick next year for the #10, and Bogut.

So you're saying that Scola + Patterson > than James (I think he's about 6'9). I'd rather take a player that could potentially be a starter than a role player and a D-league player, but that's just me.

Bogut is an elite center -- I'd LOVE that deal. We'd have to find a solution for SF at #10 (Morris?)

If Bogut can pass a physical regarding the arm, absolutely. Might have to tweak the players going back and forth. Do the Bucks have enough roster spots? I would jump all over that.

You lose one starter who is not really starter material and get 1, potentially 2 starters in return? Make it happen Morey. **** depth. It's not about how deep. The g spot is only a few inches in.

For those thinking we're giving up too much let's break it down like this.

    #14 & #23 for #10.
That leaves PPat, Chase, J. Hill, and the Knicks pick next year for Bogut. J. Hill is a J.A.G., and Chase is a decent rotation player at best. So it's basically PPat, and the Knicks pick(plus a little more value) for Bogut.

    I think that's pretty fair.

What the hell are you talking about? James? James who? James Bond, Rick James, James Dean, Jimmy Dean, Jim Bean, or do you mean Le Barron James?

Do you mean to say we can trade Scola and Patterson for LeBarron?

I am saying that anyone we pick up in this draft is going to be ~ (so so , meh) so spread out our chances; maybe we get two ~ players and one turns into something substantial. The deference in value between 10 and 14 in this draft at this point is negligible. (Maybe if we got to 8)

I am also inferring that the stats Morey plays with puts high value on undersized forwards and centers

    From Draftexpress twitter:

Heard from more than one team that Ersan Ilyasova is available in exchange for a 1st rounder (even late) or a 2012 1st. 31 minutes ago

I'd be happy, but that's overpaying, and DM won't overpay.

The #14 and #23 are roughly worth the #10 pick. Of the rest of what you'd have us surrender for Bogut, I think we should be able to remove one of those pieces.

No, it is not. No way you acquire a top quality center like Bogut without giving up the farm. In fact, we giving up the farm in our case would include Martin and Lowry.

They say that no one is untouchable but I think Ppat should be untouchable.

Asik is a 25 year old player , with limited upside and no offensive skills . He not worthy of 10th pick . We may trade Lee for him straight up .. but that's all he is worth. In my opinion , Morey will go hard for 7th ,8th or the 10th pick to grab either Valuncianus or Kanter .. when this fails , he will draft Donatas Motiejunas with the 14th pick , and a shooting guard to replace Lee so that he can be part of a trade to acquire a big.
