New international trailer out for it, looks really damn impressive, IMO. Lots of new footage... <object classid='clsid27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000' id='Sun player' width='576' height='324' codebase='http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/get/flashplayer/current/swflash.cab'><param name='movie' value='http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/swf/vidobj/sunplayer.swf?embedCode=x5aWhqMjoQNMI4CLFHPyeYamTgHVh-Fx&version=2&xmlDir=http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/swf/vidobj/xml/sun&links=http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/video/showbiz/film-trailers/3651852/Rise-Of-The-Planet-Of-The-Apes-Ex.html&share=true' /><param name='bgcolor' value='#000000' /><param name='allowScriptAccess' value='always' /><param name='allowFullScreen' value='true' /><param name='flashvars' value='embedType=directObjectTag&embedCode=x5aWhqMjoQNMI4CLFHPyeYamTgHVh-Fx&xmlDir=http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/swf/vidobj/xml/sun&links=http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/video/showbiz/film-trailers/3651852/Rise-Of-The-Planet-Of-The-Apes-Ex.html&share=true' /><embed src='http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/swf/vidobj/sunplayer.swf?embedCode=x5aWhqMjoQNMI4CLFHPyeYamTgHVh-Fx&xmlDir=http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/swf/vidobj/xml/sun&links=http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/video/showbiz/film-trailers/3651852/Rise-Of-The-Planet-Of-The-Apes-Ex.html&share=true' bgcolor='#000000' width='576' height='324' name='Sun player' align='middle' play='true' loop='false' allowscriptaccess='always' allowfullscreen='true' type='application/x-shockwave-flash' flashvars='&embedCode=x5aWhqMjoQNMI4CLFHPyeYamTgHVh-Fx' pluginspage='http://www.adobe.com/go/getflashplayer'></embed></object>
You can tell this movie suck when they decided to show you everything and giving everything away with that trailer. I just saw the whole movie with that trailer.
your perception of trailers/teasers is severely skewed when it comes to judging a film, e.g. you commented how stupid the movie thor was because a thor got restrained and put out by an injection. Spoiler what you failed to realize was that thor didnt have his powers at that time
Oh really? I didn't know an injection would put out a man within a second entering his butt. I don't care if it's for laugh but that's just cheesy. Thor was just a cheesy mediocre movie. Mostly I'm 80% right when I judge the movies but their trailers for myself.
The CGI looks pretty solid to me but it's hard to over come that fake look when they are animating furry animals.
oh, so it's the timing of how fast the effects of a tranquilizer took. I see, that seems like a legitimate reason to not like a movie about a guy with superhuman powers from a giant hammer.
The only thing like that that pisses me off is when someone hits a person in the back of the head with any object, even a shoe and they are automatically put out. Completely unconscious. Also when the hero's of the movie destroy everything around them, and we are to believe there were no civilian casualties. As far as this movie, the CGI looks bad enough in a lot of parts that it kind of ruins it for me. I'll still watch it, only bc i get free tickets. I expect no better than a 6.0/10
I think that international trailer is tremendous! Watching that and the original trailer, two different feels. The international trailer ads A LOT of more personal touch versus the original one that was more 'slam/bang summer action movie'. Does it give away too much? Perhaps. I was curious about this movie, but the international trailer puts it on 'must see' for me. Thanks for posting that!
That's what was so stupid about Iron Man 2. It takes you right out of the movie when that happen and the superhero(es) just laugh it all off at the end like nothing happen.
The international trailer makes it look like a much more interesting movie than the original one. It reminds me of a story about Lucy, a chimp that was raised with humans but then was sent to live with other chimpanzees and her problems dealing with both the human and ape world. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lucy_(Chimpanzee)
That WAS a much better trailer. Got to take the ovie for what it's worth and expect some cheese, and that's still there (chip jumping of bridge towards helicopter?), but it had a better feel to it. Still, will almost certainly pass on seeing this in the theater. I actually liked the Marky Mark remake. Also think it's kind of neat that John Lithgow gets to add Planet of the Apes to a filmography that already includes Harry and the Hendersons.
