I expect Portland to make an offer slightly above the qualifying. He's a hometown favorite and they apparently have eyed him in trades for the past couple seasons.

With Nash most likely not able to be traded this draft day and the uncertainty of Brooks getting a large offer I would expect Phoenix to most likely take a point guard with the 13th pick since there will most likely be quality pg's available possibly Kemba Walker, Jimmer, or even Darius Morris.

 

Miami would be perfect. You wouldn't even notice his ego.

This is true. Especially with Portland shopping Dre Miller. It makes a lot of sense to have Brooks back in the Pacific NW.

 

On the one hand, Brooks would probably be a great scorer in Miami with his 3-pointer and his speed against defenders who'll have to go help on the Big 3 and leave him open. On the other hand, Wade and James probably won't pass him the ball.

I hope he gets his groove back next season. His self-destruction reminds me too much of my brother-in-law, so I have to root for him.

 

What are you talking about? even if both LBJ and Wade and Bosh hog all the shots enough for all of them to score 30 pts each every niight, you still need somebody else to score 20 pts. Brooks is exactly the pg they need. I hope Brooks does what's best for his legacy and signs with the heat for whatever they could afford for him (that's above min or his rookie scale contract). He's gonna waste away his prime in PHX, go to the heat and be their 4rth star. Brook's game is tailored to fit LBJ and Wade.
