    I'd do it.

Chase and Hill are both low ceiling guys that will never be more than role players/fringe starters.

I know who you want.. but 7 may be too high for him. I'm curious about who we'd target with #7.. Vesely? I'm worried it might be Kawhi.. I think we were linked to him in the past month.

Also, why on earth would we want Ilyasova? I think I'd prefer Budinger to him.. at least Budinger could go for 20 any given game.

Agree. Alot could depend on how many players on the rockets roster get shipped out in order to help facilitate a deal in moving up. Morey has tons of young pawns to offer from his roster. Going to be very interesting tomorrow.

#10 and Bogut for Martin, Buddinger, Hill, and #14 (maybe #23)

Word from Jonathan Givony is Spurs are dangling Parker for that 7th pick and rumor is they would pick Jonas. Agree with you that #7 is way to high Morris, but beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

I missed this from the link:

The Ilyasova -- Budinger/Hill swap is a terrible deal for us, IMO. Perhaps we'd entertain making this swap if Milwaukee allows us to gain their pick to further trade up and land Valanciunas? Would Milwaukee be willing to allow us to chase Valanciunas if they were compensated via that trade? Maybe Morey thinks Kanter will fall a bit?

a better 3 than Chase and a better basketball player than Hill.

He can defend, rebound and has a smooth jumper. A really nice stretch 4. A legit starter that would replace Chase who is not a starter.

There is so much misinformation right now, every GM is pumping out so much B.S with everyone trying to leapfrog each other for a specific player up top. Though its tons of fun hearing all this stuff. In the end its still not easy to move up in a draft without it being a bit painfull.

His 3PT% is horrid. Sounds like a worse shooting Shane Battier.. :(

I feel the same, I don't wanna reach on a center, Burks imo has the potential to be a guy a team could be built around, I have watched every one of his games the past 2 seasons and I am very impressed by him

Ilyasova is a better prospect than Budinger/Hill, but they are both non-factors when it comes to the future of the Rockets.

And also, I think its almost impossible for the Rockets to move into any higher than 8. Sacramento at 7 is a possibility, but unless Morey is willing to take back some heavy contract like Francisco Garcia, then there would be no chance that the Rockets would even have a sniff of Kanter.

I am totally sure that the Valaciunas-to-Cleveland thing is a smokescreen. He's almost a 0 on defense, and with a massive contract obligation overseas, I really don't think Cleveland will select him. Cleveland is trying to make the Jazz pass up on Kanter so they can get the Irving-Kanter package.

Irving/Kanter will be the best two players in the draft.

I don't like Derrick Williams, nor Valaciunas.

Looks like this is only plan-B for them.

It's hardly a secret the Bucks would be interested in Rockets forward Patrick Patterson, whom the Bucks were hoping to land in last summer's draft.

Ilyasova is a decent player, but he's not a legit starter. He's your average 7th or 8th man.

He's better than Hill, but he's also much older (he's 27, not 24 as listed).

Ilyavosa's shooting is actually not that bad, but he's not a great 3-pt shooter. That's really just picking a stat and making an assessment on overall shooting. His shot SELECTION needs work, but that may very well be the system in Milwaukee. I'd like to get more of a definition on why someone mentioned that he was a good defender, because he is anything but that. He's a volume shooter that has some hustle, but I'd hardly call him a good defender. He boxes out his guy pretty well and gets decent amount of rebounds when playing as a SF but played mostly as a PF in Milwaukee. Do we want another 6'9" guy that hangs around the perimeter, is a volume shooter, and too slow to guard other 3s? Moreso, do we want a 6'9" PF?

Yeah, Patrick Patterson is actually better than all those 3 players.

I wouldn't place too much emphasis on Ilyasova, because I doubt Morey resigns Ilyasova when his deal expires,

Ilyasova would primarily be a spot-minute power forward for us, MAYBE a spot-minute 5 (and when I mention the "5", I mean, spot minutes, IF the other team's center is no beast).

The prize would be getting that #10. Including Patterson is logical, if the Bucks coveted him so highly, but he was a steal for us at #14, and probably worth more than this year's #10, with or without Ilyasova.

The Bucks make a lot of fuss that Bogut isn't going to be traded, so I don't know about dreaming him into any scenario.
