Nothin' like starting a road series against a quality team by having your starting pitcher go 2.2 innings. Mills was hoping that Happ could settle down and chew up a couple more innings but that wasn't happening. Happ looked scared out there. Seemed like he couldn't wait to hand the ball off and go hide somewhere.

Hmm...we got a couple runs on some quality hits. I can hardly believe my eyes.

I've been defending Happ all season long and tonight he was the victim of some sloppy defense but dude got killed. I still like his stuff and believe he could be a nice #3 but its time to regroup a bit. Bad luck is understandable but learning how to pitch around it is a very important quality a good pitcher develops.

If he could throw the ball where he wanted he could be effective with his stuff, but he is always behind in the count and leaves his pitches up and out over the plate way too much.

I guess having that Philadelphia offense (and defense) behind you can make any pitcher's stuff look better, because I don't know where we can go from here with Happ. He's 28, not exactly a young pitcher, and I don't know how much more room to grow there is.

Well, I'll be at the game tonight. HOPEFULLY they'll make it close than it was yesterday. If not, at least I can say I was part of the world record for most people wearing their sunglasses at night.

I shouldn't be complaining because at least Wallace is playing vs a tough lefty but this is getting stupid now. Micheals and Johnson in front of Wallace is just idiotic, this should be the time to try Wallace in the 3 spot instead he is batting 7th.

    I see your point.

But can you imagine Michaels, Johnson, Barmus and Corporan in a row? Thats just, well, just too lame at the bottom.

Yea, just goes to show you how truly horrible this lineup is without Pence.

Earlier in the year I was pretty hard on Bourn for not improving as a leadoff guy, well the guy has turned it on since. He MIGHT now be one the best leadoff men in the game. He is hitting .285, OBP is .355, slugging is .396, 31 steals, 19 doubles and is on pace for 104 runs scored...that is a VERY nice stat line.

I am starting to wonder just how much the club could get for him and if he is a more realistic outfielder to get dealt and not Pence?

If we dealt Pence and Bourn, our lineup might be the worst in Astros history.

But, if we are truly wanting to be relevant, and stay relevant in the future, it might be a good gamble if the offers are right.

Yea I get the impression either or but not both. Pence gets you more but Bourn may get you an impact prospects too.

Lyles has been impressive, made a couple of mistakes but against this lineup...it's understandable. He sequence to Young after Micheal took him deep was fantastic.

Which player brings more may depend on who gets injured on a division contender near the trade deadline.

Gotta love Jason Bourn leading off. Puts a bunch of pressure on the defense when these two are on base.

When Bourn plays like this, he is a difference maker. That was a hit but his speed caused the issue and also caused the error before.
