How does morey know? The mention of Jonas V sounds like speculation on the part of the writer. They could have just told morey they'll trade it if their guy is gone.

If Morey feels that the prospect at 10 is worth 2 picks then I trust his judgement. His draft history warrants that at least.

Or he acquires the 8th pick and holds Valanciunas hostage, forcing Milwaukee to either trade up with Sacramento or bargain with him if they want him that bad.

trading both of these picks will be useless if we end up with the european shawn bradley:mad: this Valanciunas guy better be worth all this because he looks like rasho nestorovic at best in his highlights. guy looks like average nba wings can jump over his head and dunk on him with ease in them youtube highlights.

What are we going to do with this guy? He seems like trade fodder to me.

Why not go for king's 7th pick? Trade Scola, Miller, Dragic, and 23 pick for the 7th pick, Beno, and Jason Thompson. The kings get vet experience, and take on more money because they aren't paying much at all. We get a chance to get Vesely, or Jonas with that pick, a back pg with and expiring contract soon, and a young big with much more potential than Hill.

Several thoughts off the top ....

Kanter and Vesely were the two that I hoped the Rockets would move on.
I know Vesely has supposedly slid some ... And if he's still around at 10, I'm more than content with grabbing him. Jan will be a stud for a long time.

Who would Kevin Martin, #10 plus possibly some other considerations fetch? a superstar probably or at least somebody like Bogut....

And don't mess with the Goran!

#10, Scola and Miller is the package I would be trying to sell to people, especially if our guy doesn't make it to 10.

It seems a bit steep, but it doesn't sting too much if Les can buy a late first round or early 2nd pick.

For comparison, last year there was a trade for the 11th pick at the cost of the 18th, 26th, and taking on a 6 million dollar expiring contract. (NO and OKC)

It's not going to be official until it happens.

I'm not sure what all the confusion is about. All we have to get from this is that the offer is on the table. Either team can still probably back out, especially the bucks, if their guy isn't there.

morey must know that one of the 3 conference rivals drafting directly ahead of us will take the guy he wants. so he puts a deal in place to leapfrog them if the bucks don't get the guy they want at #10.

or maybe morey just wants to leapfrog them to draft a guy they covet but he doesn't want. ransom the player back to them in a trade for their pick and a future pick or to get out of brad millers contract. then with their pick we can get the guy we wanted.

That was sorta my thinking. It would fit Morey's MO to draft someone someone else wants, then leverage him against them.

Maybe he wants a 2012 pick out of this. Maybe a Miller dump. Either would make sense.

And the 2 for 1 makes it one less 1st we have to sign. Perhaps none if we get a player out of the deal.
