I was thinking along the same lines. We'll be kicking ourselves though if Vucevic falls to 23. I doubt that happens nonetheless..

I doubt 23 was going to be used on a NBA player next yr if we still keep it. Taking Mirotic and Bertans and stashing them in Europe is what I would do with the 23 if we still keep it.

14 and 23 for #10 seems fair to me. Morey can't win big in every deal he makes.

I'm starting to think he's targeting Tristan Thompson or Marcus Morris...

I don't see the point to this at all. If we wouldn't be getting Valanciunas with the 10th, then there isn't a player I like enough to trade up for.

I also like Tyler Honeycutt or Tobias Harris at 23, so this situation isn't ideal for me. There's alot of depth at SF in this draft so unless we get a good center prospect by trading up, it doesn't seem like its worth it.

Everyone here needs to calm down. All this means is that Morey n Co. have someone they feel very highly about that could be available at 10 but will not be there at 14.

If the 14th and the 23rd pick are Chris Singleton and Nikola V. for say Jan Vesely... Then obviously they think that Vesely or whoever they are targeting is worth doing a 2 for 1 trade for. Could be two role players for a future all star for all we know.

Remember, the Rockets arent looking for just role players or bodies to round out the roster... they are looking for talent and all star upside potential. If they feel like they need to move up to get this one guy, then they obviously have good reasons to do so.

And lets face it, they do not have room on the roster for 3 rookies. So I am all for doing a two for one to upgrade in talent.

-Players they are most likely targeting at 10??? - I would guess since its obvious Jonas V. is who the Bucks want but might not get - Jan Vesely, Biyombo, Kemba Walker, and Kawhi Leonard would be the most likely suspects.

I'm cool with that trade. Morey's looking for the best player available. If he feels like the impact of a player at #10 is that much more than those of the players available at #14 and #23, then I'm cool. We need impact players.

Yes, quoted again since 50+ posters don't seem to realize this.

I just read in the rumor section of Espn, that the Rockets are actually trying to trade 14 & 23 for number 8 with Detroit, not number 10 with Bucks.

I don't feel like there's really anyone that is that good that will be available at 10 that won't be available at 14...I rather just keep both picks. Now maybe if its like the 8th pick, I'd consider.

Can we now trade the 10th pick and Brad Miller for the 12th pick?

Has this been confirmed? Or is this another trial balloon rumor? If we do anything to move up in the draft, please DM, don't do it to get Jimmer.

    It's from Draftexpress.

    DraftExpress Jonathan Givony
I'm told that if the prospect Milwaukee covets (I suspect Valanciunas) isn't available at 10, they will trade the pick to Houston for 14+23.

This is speculation by Jonathan Givony, not confirmed.

If something goes down, its on draft night.

Amen, those two are squarely on my totally expendable assets list.

I think that's the cut off point....the top 10 look to be, at the very least, solid starters, but after that it harder to predict. Of course you could get one or two of those top 10 to slip, so maybe stretch the cut off to 12, but 14 is definitely past it.

Yeah... adding a "might" to the title would help.

Now that Morey knows Milwaukee wants Valanciunas, he knows to trade up to 8 or 9 in order to draft the guy he wants. He's a mad genius, out thinking everyone!
