Interesting to see if any major deals happen with the Rockets on draft night.

You beat me to it, that'd be simply amazing! So weird how I'm as excited about this draft as any others in the near past. :)

My problem here is Jsmoove is a bit of a tweener. Seems like he does have a hard on for Houston though, let's face it why will any FA put Houston on his wanted list unless he's really a rox fan at heart? I think he's worth the 14th pick outright, we'll have an upgrade at C-bud's position, he'll basically be our own Shawn Marion.

Play him big at SF and watch the Rockets win... The Hawks are at their best when they play Josh at the SF and Al at the PF...

    1. Kyle Lowry
    2. Kevin Martin
    3. Josh Smith
    4. Patrick Patterson
    5. Chuck Hayes

Could be a championship starting lineup, imo..

14th pick outright? upgrade at C-buds position? Shawn Marion? You are seriously underrating Josh Smith. It would take much more than a 14th pick outright. And comparing Smith to Cbud is like comparing a Benz to a Kia. He's also much better than the present Shawn Marion despite Marion's glorious playoff run.

He's the perfect fit for us and would arguably be our best player. He's exactly what we're looking for:

    Superior Athlete
    Great Shot blocker
    Good at running the floor
and does a little bit of everything else well (pass, dribble, rebound etc)

I don't view Smith as a Tweener. Just because he's able to play both forward spots doesn't make him a tweener. I view him more as a combo forward.

A change of scenery and some added discipline would do him wonders. He's not the type of player to lead you to the playoffs or championship but he's definitely a key piece especially if you surround him with the right guys.

I'd give up anyone but Lowry, Martin, Pat for him. He'd look good in a Rockets uniform.

Chuck wins nearly every C matchup, and with Smith's shotblocking and Patsquatch's development, I absolutely believe he can be a starting C. Chuck is the best individual defender in the entire league down low. Smith and Patrick together can protect the rim with the best of them.

Nobody above 6'9. The Lakers and Memphis would destroy us. I do think that line-up would be best against some teams but let's remember that C is still our biggest need.

I disagree. Chuck at C is NOT the problem.

    Budinger and Scola are...

    3. Chase Budinger
    4. Luis Scola
    5. Chuck Hayes

    3. Josh Smith
    4. Patrick Patterson
    5. Chuck Hayes

Talk about a massive defensive upgrade...

Chuck is a dominant player in his own way. Pau and Bynum were DESTROYED by CHUCKWAGON when we took them to 7, and Chuck just keeps on improving...

I agree. Getting better defensively would really help. Chuck did his job.

I think Josh is one of the only players in the league that would allow us to keep at Chuck at C and still have a championship team.

Chuck can shut down the Pau/Blake/Amare's of the world, and the added rim protection comes from our stud forwards Josh Smith & Patrick Patterson...

Get a Dalembert esque backup C and you have the best of both worlds, and MISMATCHES GALORE!!!

JSmoove always seemed like an intelligent guy:p, know I know it.

Curious no, the fact that he likes Houston (we all know why he likes Boston, NJN, and Orlando)???

Just pray that Atlanta doesn´t think that Scola is too similar to Horford for this too happen.

    GO GO DM....

Would Scola and #14 make this happen? Would be willing too add the Knicks 1st next year.

Think that would be a championship starting five with a center who can defend like Chuck but also block shots, Chuck would be my first big off the bench.
