Would you be okay with losing Kevin Martin for Al Jeff?

"The Jazz is rumored to be making Paul Millsap available. But they also are said to be holding open the possibility of moving Al Jefferson in a larger deal if they can get Kanter, a deal that could net them a shooting guard, like Monta Ellis or Kevin Martin with Golden State at No. 11 and Houston No. 14. So then Utah would go big."

So they want KMart AND our pick?

How about TWill and our 14 for Al.

There's no point in getting Al J because guess what, we already have a low post scoring, no-defending pf in Luis Scola. Clee+Scola for Al J might be something I'd go for...

Of course the Jazz would be interested in our biggest flopper.

I posted this in another thread.

No way they take Lee for Jefferson.

Sure would confuse a lot of fans... seeing a significant member of the Rockets in Jazz uniform and vice versa. Well, at least those guys were not long-time members of each team, not like trading Hakeem for Stockton/Malone or anything...

Also would confuse Kevin McHale... Al Jefferson is his blood, but Kevin Martin is his name-sake.

Sounds about right... Lee+expirings+ a pick or two. Maybe give them Budinger since he'd fit in with the fan base. :)

No freaking way. He plays no defense, he is still not 100% after his knee surgery, he is way overrated in some categories (bbal IQ, leadership, rebounding, work ethic) and he has a big contract... and don't forget that he is out of position too.

Jefferson the big man equivalent of Martin, great scorer but plays ZERO defense. That said, Jefferson also rebounds and blocks a few shots. Martin scores and...and...and...well he scores a lot.

I would probably see what else we could get for Martin before pulling the trigger on this move but it's an option.

Monte for Al would be a great move for golden state, but bad for us.

I could see a Kevin Martin and the 14th for Al Jefferson and the 12th. Not so sure I'd be pumped about it but it makes sense.

Players of similar impact. Injury Prone and score a lot of points. Not real superstars but ideal 3rd guys.

That is the deal I think Utah could bite on. But, of course, then Rox are 'stuck' with Jeff's bloated contract and lacking D and a glut with the erstwhile Luis.

I like Al Jefferson a fair amount, but he's a PF being forced to play C. Ideally, you want Jefferson as your PF and a bigger C next to him.

With Scola and Patterson currently on the roster, I can't see the Rockets being interested in adding another PF at the expense of Martin.

Also, remind me to never play fantasy sports with Mr. Clutch.
