Since I love defense and I value all-around players, that would be my list as well except I would replace Pippen with Kobe.

A lineup of Hakeem, Garnett, Jordan, Kobe, and Payton would simply be the best defensive team ever assembled, while offering a potent offense. Each of these player would be a fantastic one-on-one as well as a help defender. No passing lanes with Kobe, Jordan, and payton and the rim would be protected with Garnett and Hakeem.

On offense, each one can get create his own shot and more importantly can also shoot well from outside, which is why I replaced Pippen with Kobe. I dont think Pippen was that great of a shooter from outside, more of a driver/slasher, and the opposing team could exploit that.

Another big advantage with lineup is that its a very capable post-up team. Hakeem and Jordan made a living by posting up and Payton was an excellent guard in the post.

And the best of all, each one of them had a mean streak and were fierce competitors.

Constant trash talking of Jordan + Payton would bring Satan down to its knees.

I pit this team against anyone.

Dream, Rodman, Havlicek, Reggie Miller and Kidd.

    C-Hakeem
    PF-Karl Malone
    SF-Lebron James\ Reggie Miller
    SG-MJ
    PG-Iverson\ John Stockton

I only put alternates with LBJ n Iverson cause in real life i dont think they can co-exsist but if they did that would be my team....but Stockton n Miller on that team i believe everyone will know their role from the get go

    C- Hakeem Olajuwon
    PF- Moses Malone
    SF- Rick Barry
    SG- Clyde Drexler
    PG- John Lucas

No one is beating that team. You've got outside shooting, inside play, playmaking up the wazoo, rebounding, shot blocking, stealing, free throw shooting. I'll put this 5 up against anyone.

What I did was pick an All-Time Starting 5, the pick a 1st and 2nd team that maybe could beat them.

    1st Team:

    C - Shaquille O'neal
    PF - Tim Duncan
    SF - Larry Bird
    SG - Michael Jordan
    PG - Magic Johnson

    2nd Team:

    C - Hakeem Olajuwon
    PF - Kevin Garnett
    SF - Scottie Pippen
    SG - Tracy McGrady
    PG - Jason Kidd

    3rd Team:

    C - Kareem Abdul Jabbar
    PF - Dirk Nowitzki
    SF - Dominique Wilkins
    SG - Reggie Miller
    PG - Gary Payton

    For performance all-time:

    C: Kareem
    PF: Dream
    SF: Lebron
    SG: MJ
    PG: Magic

    For favourite players:

    C: D. Howard
    PF: Dream
    SF: Lebron
    SG: Allen
    PG: Payton

Either would be solid but the first would probably dominate more (although I can't see much paint-play against the second team.)

    this is mine...

    2nd unit would be

    shaq
barkley (f u garnett and malone)
    worthy (f u pippen)
    kobe
    isiah (f u stockton)

it is hard to include players you never actually saw live. a 20 year old never actually saw alot of these guys.
