Myers with an incredibly low pitch count. It'd be pretty awesome if he could throw a CG in under 90 pitches.
Oh, Wallace... fail. That would've been 81 pitches with 2 outs to go. Horrible misplay, regardless of the circumstances.
Good win last night and it was WONDERFUL to see Myers put together that kind of performance. String a few more together and his trade value should increase drastically. Now Wandy's turn, hope he continues what he started on Monday night.
Jason just bailed out CJ and CLee, bad throw but slow runner. Watching easy outs dump in front of Carlos get more irritating each time.
This guy has some tremendous movement on his fastball so laying off anything around the zone will be hard. Which makes Bourn eventually walking, even more impressive. Jason gives you almost everything Lee does plus defense and speed. Pretty obvious who should be starting in LF.
Fair enough. He did only have 1 strike there though when he fouled off the high one. Happy now anyway!
Bourn had the best at bat by far IMO. After the consecutive k's of CC/Wandy, it would have been a disaster to not score a run some how. Bourn battled to a full count against a TOUGH youngster to draw the walk. Hopefully Wandy can keep it up, and build that trade value even more.
Wandy is dealing...his ERA is down to 2.88 and has given up 2 runs in his last 26 innings. His pitch count is high, over 100, so this maybe it but another STRONG start for the guy. Still don't believe he's a true ace but Wandy has certainly hit his stride. He could bring back a nice haul, more then I original imagined.
I like what i've seen from Abad since his return. I had high expectations coming off a stellar winter ball season. Hopefully, with the arm slot adjustment he made, this is his coming out party.
Since June 23, 2010 only Felix Hernandez has a lower ERA (min 150 IP). Since 2009 only 12 pitchers have a lower ERA (min 450 IP). Since 2008 only 9 pitchers have a lower ERA (min 600 IP).
