I think they are going to do something radical... get Kemba Walker somehow, then trade Lowry in a package deal for a quality big.

at 14 we draft the best guy available, Klay Thompson or Donatas Motiejunas

at 23, we actually move up...giving up the 23rd pick and next years 1st round pick to Washington for the 18the and draft Biyombo

at 38, we get lucky and draft Vucevic

 

For anyone who is interested, this is a Marcus Morris workout that just came out on Draftexpress. He shows some more perimeter skills while comparing his game to Carmelo, scoffing at PF comparisons to Boozer/Gooden. Personally, I see more of a Caron Butler- same type of shot, same toughness, but potentially a much deadlier post-up game that could cause some major mismatches.

Workouts like this really do him a disservice. He is not the most athletic guy, not the quickest, not the most explosive, has a below average wingspan, his shot isn't elite like Jimmer, and he is a not the youngest guy either. Hopefully all that will have him slide in the draft, because what he does have is strength, toughness, heart, and an elite ability to just get buckets.

Marcus Morris and Donatas Montiejunas on draft night is my prediction.

Of the realistic scenarios, I must say Morris and Donatas would be near or at the top of my list for the Rockets haul. But I thought Morris was going to go higher, and figured it would be Donatas at 14 and some random player I have no clue about at 23. Or a trade up for Morris or Valan-whatever if he dropped.
