I thought I would pass this along to help some fellow ClutchFans earn a bit of extra money during these tough times. I've been a member for a couple of years now, and on Monday will be going in to give my opinion about beer. They're going to be paying me $110 for roughly 2 hours of my time (although in my previous experiences it's always been closer to 1.5 hours), and a homework project that involves buying beer that I will be reimbursed for. The first time I did this it was $100 for 2 hours of talking about pizza advertising, and last time it was $120 for 2 hours of talking about beer advertising.

Their Houston facility is located in the Galleria area, although they do have about 10-15 more facilities around the country.

The check is in your hand before you walk out.

I'm not sure if it does me any good, but if you're going to sign up, feel free to put me down as a reference: pugsly8422@hotmail.com

Link if you'd like to sign up.

Copied and pasted from the information they sent me:

Thank you for agreeing to participate in our research project.
This is to confirm your appointment on Monday, June 20th from 8:00PM –10:00PM for the Beverages focus group. It is agreed that for your time and opinions you will be paid 85.00 for the group and $25.00 for the homework.

I've done this before too. It was an in-house survey, so they came to my friends apartment, paid me almost $200 and my friends about $80 each. They were pushing Bud Light Lime before it was released and what we thought of the bottle and box design, as well as the beer, and compared it to other beer. I was tanked by the end of the discussion. Also, since we were their last stop in Houston they gave us the rest of the beer they would bring to compare, which was about 50 various beers.

I've been trying to do another survey like that but haven't been offered in years.

I get about 1-2 emails per week with offers that I can sign up for, so it may be worth a shot for you. I know this place also does the groups over the phone, I'm not sure about in house, but it wouldn't surprise me.

I'm signed up with Schlesinger Associates.

They paid me $75 bucks once to come in and sample a bunch of p***y drinks like Smirnoff Ice.

There was one other dude and 7 women.

All the women were raving about how much they loved Smirnoff Ice and it was their favorite. I said if I had to drink one I'd choose Mike's Hard Lemonade because it was the only one that didn't taste like Pine Sol. The other dude concurred.

Then we did a blind taste test and rated 5 drinks and at the end of it Mike's Hard Lemonade was the highest rated and Smirnoff Ice was the lowest.

So even though I had to drink a bunch of fruity drinks, at least I got a check for proving women don't know ****.

You'd have to pay me to drink that stuff. I didn't know companies would actually do it. Good deal.

Dang didn't see a Minneapolis-St. Paul location. I find that a bit surprising since a lot of test marketing goes on in this area. For instance the infamous Pepsi clear and Miller Clear Beer were marketed here.

    Jugdish,

They gave me money to buy beer. I didn't buy Bud Light, can't remember what I bought exactly. They also gave me money for food.

Pugs, it's actually the same survery group you go through I bet, the one I've gone to for years is in that area. I get calls for surveys all the time, but what I meant was that none that good have come around recently.
