For a wednesday game against the pirates the ballpark was pretty crowded. The rockets should do like the astros and greatly cut the prices.
The Astros are the only team in the majors with a winning percentage below .400....they have to cut prices.... It is just sad. DD
actually, i don't think they're cutting prices any more than normal. they've been doing the free kids tickets when you buy a seat for an adult for the last 3 seasons. but astros tickets are substantially cheaper than rockets tickets, even without a discount.
Bad times for Houston sports. Astros are the worst team in baseball, Rockets miss the playoffs again, and the Texans are not close.
The Astros are 7.5 games behind the Twins. The 2nd worst team is the Royals, and they are 4.5 games ahead of the Astros.
The Astros really aren't cutting ticket prices too much, but it is cheaper overall to go to a game thanks to lower parking prices. You can park in a lot directly across the street from the park for 10 dollars. That was a 25 or 30 dollar lot as recently as last season or the year before.
