This ad made me want to send money I couldn't afford...to Janice Hahn.

Sounds to me like this guy knows exactly what he's doing, and what his ultimate goals are... so far, successful

    From the article:

Like JayZ is implying, this ad is so over-the-top that it doesn't even seem legit. Wouldn't surprise me a bit to find out that this was some rouge left-wing group trying to make the tea baggers looks bad.

My critics can "suck it?" Really?

What I didn't see in the article is what has Hahn's opponent said about it? The article said the state GOP but didn't mention the Huey campaign.

People should reward those who are so misleading and disingenuous, with disdain.

A few things I want to say:

The guy is a conservative, but he did this independently.

    It is very funny, IMO.

It is also incredibly offensive and I would have a problem with it if an opposing candidate funded/supported this ad, or it was an organization in which they were affiliated with.

Seems like a James O'Keefe wannabe. But, he's older and should know better.

Why not post the author's original explanation of the video?

    http://filmladd.com/?AttackAdLaunch

In what way is the video offensive? the language? the racism? His original explanation released with the video seems reasonable.

Not really. It seems as ignorant as the video to me.

In what way is the explanation ignorant?

For starters because at no point did she claim the things they are saying she did. The explanation is ignorant, arrogant, and offensive as well.

It's a strawman argument. Instead of challenging a well-reasoned argument with salient counter-arguments, he puts words in the mouth of this candidate and tells you what she "really means", so that he can go on to knock that weak argument down. And then he doesn't even do that well, meandering around with a fantasyland characterization of race-relations in idyllic New Orleans and How Things Should Be without ever addressing what was wrong with the strawman argument he propped up in the beginning.

Are you saying their assumptions based off her quote are inaccurate?

To bring up another point. How pathetic does Salon (the originally linked source) have to be to not post the author's explanation in their article. No journalistic integrity.

oh my....that truly looked like a MADTV bit. I actually laughed. Its just insane and at the same time extremely sad that someone would actually put that out as a real ad.
