The man needs to resign ASAP -- he is a fool for sending those pics and an absolute embarrassment. If he is too stupid and lacks the restraint to send nude photos of himself to people he doesn't know then god knows what else he is doing. What a loser.
I agree. I'd like to see him resign as well, but it isn't that important if he doesn't. Vitter who actually broke a law and actually had real sex outside of his marriage is still in Congress and it isn't anymore broken than it already was.
I can forgive Newt, his wife was dying and he needed to find someone to console him and move on. BUT Weiner's was worse. He actually sent photos while his wife was pregnant. That makes him 20 times worse and definitely shows that dems are the ones who have a morality problem. Republicans who do this stuff are actually wolves (liberals) in sheeps clothing.

That's a load of crapola, there is nothing inherently more moral or Godly or American about being conservative.....the leaders of the Republican party know this....but enough poor people are fooled into believing it to vote for their own economic self destruction.
Cheating is cheating. Whether that's a physics relationship or virtual one its still cheating. I'm not sure why people stand up for Weiner and throw out Gingrich as some kind of "nanny-boo-boo" response. Ever hear of John Edwards? It's painfully obvious no political party is morally or ethically above the other. Each is filled to the brim with rats!
I agree about both sides behaving badly, and I wasn't trying to stand up for what Weiner did. I'd be fine with the idea that cheating is cheating. The post I was responding to was the one who started with one side is worse than the other. I was saying what you are saying, that that isn't true. I'm curious why chose my post to make the claim that cheating is cheating and both sides are bad, when my post was trying to make that exact same point to a person who claimed one side was 20 times worse than the other. The reason people throw out Gingrich is if people claim that one side is worse than the other, or folks are being selective in who they think should be punished and who is a rotten guy. I will say that only one side runs on "family values" so their lack of those values adds hypocrisy to the list of sleaziness when these types of things happen.
To sate your curiosity, I had just smoked a bowl and your post caught my eye. I seemed to think you may have been singling out Gingrich as unique, but you're not. Blame it on the rain. Not long ago I identified with moderate, right-leaning types--these days not so much. I find myself sort of wandering politically as the two-party system is antiquated and out of touch. I get agitated with much of the "Republican this, Democrat that" back and forth. Standards and consequences should be applied equally, yet the two-party system keeps us distracted and and attacking one another deflecting our attention from just how corrupt they all are.
What oh what will conservatives talk about now? They’re fantastically diverse assortment of possible presidential candidates?
