It's one of those movies that isn't close to the first one (most sequels aren't) but you have to see it just because it's the sequel.
Let's be honest: there is George A. Romero and everybody else. Of everybody else: Peter Jackson's Braindead is a fav.
There are no real zombie fans besides old folk bc no one has trotted out George Romeros newest jagfest Survival of the Dead. None or close to it of you guys know dick about zombie movies. I'm pulling the zombie hipster card! Huzzah!
May not be the best zombie movie, but loved this one. Other personal favorites: Dead Alive (Brain Dead): 2nd Favorite Peter Jackson Film . . . first is Bad Taste, and third is Meet the Feebles (that movie was ahead of it's time with South Park type jokes) Night/Dawn/Day of the Dead (original): The standard for zombie movies.
I don't consider it the best, but I'm going to mention Fido because it's awesome and no one else has yet.
no. Hell naw. I recommended 28 days later first so i'll be the first to recommend you to not watch 28 wks later. Watch Evil Dead and Evil Dead 2 they're masterpieces
Gotta go with the original Night of the Living Dead. Lot of good ones, but I'm not sure anyone has done it better.
I enjoyed weeks, its got more action than days. Its army dudes vs zombies, whats not to like? Hills have eyes II tried this concept too but completely botched it up. But 28 weeks imo is worth watching.
i think going with the classic is the way to go as well. Oldy but a goldy. I think people look past it because of the traditional slow moving zombies as they are more used to the "modern" zombies seen in most movies now. i love 28 days later but is it really a zombie flick? The rage virus didnt wake the dead, it just made you...well, rage. 28 weeks later was ok but i do agree... i didnt like the way they did the outbreak. I'm surprised the remake of Dawn of the Dead is getting so much love. I thought it was very good but for whatever reason didnt think others felt the same way. Every time I see Phil Dunphy, i still think of him in Dawn.
It seems that everyone has already said it, but 28 Days Later is just great...not just a great zombie movie, but a great movie. One of my top 10 favorite movies...and I had to be dragged to the theatre to see it!
Straight up zombie movies Night of the Living Dead Dawn of the Dead (original & remake) Zombie (also known as Zombie2) 28 days later - 28 weeks later is very good too Diary of the Dead was surprisingly good - Survival of the Dead not so much REC City of the Living Dead Zombie Comedies Return of the Living Dead (classic) Shaun of the Dead Zombieland Planet Terror Night of the Creeps
BOOOO! Updated World War Z plot http://www.aintitcool.com/node/50754 So I guess it's safe to say this movie has a good chance of sucking when it could have been the be all to end all zombie apocalypse film. There's absolutely no reason to deviate so far from the source material. What the hell are they thinking?! Oh yeah they aren't because it's Hollywood.
