I have always enjoyed FFB threads. Loved the two cans of artichokes thread. Somehow I missed the class ring thing. Will someone please link to the thread?
I can't believe this thread is 14 pages and the "They almost duked it out" one is so many pages also. Anyway while we are talking about no filter FFB stories. When I was in visiting Houston in 2007 I got a rather interesting call from Fatty at 3 AM. In substance surprisingly similar to Charlie Sheen's tiger blood rant. I've never met Fatty in real life but after that call I can see how he can really rub someone the wrong way but whether he did something to start the fight or not as a fellow Clutchfan I'm glad he's not hurt too bad.
Maybe I'm just very disconnected to what actually transpires beyond this board, but why are you guys calling one another if you are not actually acquatances beyond the forum? Are many of you friends outside of this board?
Many of us have gotten to know each other offline and there are Clutchfans get togethers like basketball games. Even though I don't live in Houston I've met several Clutchfans in person when I have visited Houston. As for Fatty's call I was supposed to meet him for a drink when I was there in 2007 but my schedule got tighter and I couldn't meet him. I had told him much much earlier that I wasn't going to be able to meet but that didn't stop him from giving me a call at 3AM.
I don't remember much of it and I was half asleep when he called but it was stuff like that everything that I had heard about him was true. He really was a Clutchfans legend, an Adonis from Mars with tigerblood and etc..
I've met him a few times in public and he was mostly a nice guy. One time at Rudyards he told a friend of mine with short hair that she looked bad but that she might be pretty if she grew her hair out so she slapped him. I've met tons of people from the board it seems. It would be a challenge to list them all but it's in the dozens. They've all been extremely nice, even the ones I've gotten into it with here.
Seems like we're giving fatty a bad shake by assuming it's his fault. Like assuming woman dressed slutty being a slut or fatty being fatty. Major apologies needed here...
Yea, I met him in-person too at the first Smeg world tour. Spent a lot of time talking to him and Trader_Jorge. He didn't really do anything outrageous but I could sense with him that he really is the same in person that he is on the board. Now, Trader_Jorge...he is NOT the same in person that he is on the board.
