    well put.

I've always thought Lebron is overrated, he only ever got layups or ran over his defenders which if he were any other person half of them would have been called for a charge, but since his name was lebron james, he'd get the call 90% of the time. his jump shot is horrible and he only makes any if he's on a streak, like barkley says "he's a streak shooter".

Of course, a 4 game swept, 10/30 fg on game 4, finals average well below his season or even playoff averages, he was just terrible, thats why the spurs won so easily. He was lebricking all series.

What else would you call a 22/.35/5TO stat line?

Kidd was going against two dynasties that they had no chance.

Jason Kidd didn't choke on anything, he played well. Lakers were just the better team.

Can't say the same thing about Lebron.

Lebron turned into Rajon Rondo that whole 4th quarter. He's driving in and then kicks it back to Bosh for jumpers instead of taking the lay up. He was scared to shoot from distance like Rondo too.

My question about James is he's always been a phenomenal athlete but how much has he improved as a player over the past four years? Everyone talks about his lack of post game, but what about other aspects of his game?

Just looking at the Mavs, Nowitzki has added a post game, Kidd has added the 3-point shot, and Chandler's defensive rotation and pick-and-roll defense are miles better since his early days. Basically, even star players have to learn to expand their game if they want to continue to succeed.

Maybe it's because James was already at an elite level from the get-go, but I can't think of any major improvements he's made since. It kind of reminds me of a former Rocket player.

I have never seen the best player in the league receiving the Rondo defense.

Shaq could be in the high post and there would always be a guy near him.

I hardly ever even see him shooting from mid range, he just chucks 3s and if they go in he'll make them on a streak, he's no where near a consistent shooter. Maybe he's a decent mid range shooter in the regular season, but his horrible jump shot is the reason why hes been bad in the playoffs(like how the spurs played him in his first finals). I've seen a million games when he was with the cavs(have NBA league pass), and a million of his games with the heat. His game is not aesthetically pleasing at all, how could you be a perimeter player without a consistent jump shot? That probably means you should either develop a consistent jump shot, or stop being a perimeter player and use your size advantage in the post. There's no reason that Barkley was a great post player and Lebron can't be one.

He's not only overrated, but played much worse this year due to the fact his teams in the past were built around him in a manner where if he would drive the ball, the defenders couldn't swarm him because he'd have shooters everywhere. He would be awesome in the post, but doesn't have the work ethic to develop that part of his game apparently. People have also speculated that he's gained too much weight(muscle or fat doesnt matter), and lost some of his quickness.

But the biggest factor of it all, is his mental weakness, if that were Jordan in Lebron's body, he drives it to the basket nonstop and the Heat win the championship.

There's a reason why people call him lebrick.

Did Lebron even congratulate the Mavs after the game? I know Terry stopped him to say "good game" and Wade was classy and congratulated them but didnt see Lebron.

Reportedly he went out of his way to congratulate Kidd, but that's the only case I know of.

As to what he's improved, he actually does shoot a better % from distance than he did early on, right? Supposedly he's worked on that a lot. ... I just looked it up -- scratch that. Wow, I took that myth hook line and sinker, but he's basically been under 35% from 3-pt range his whole career. This year he shot 33%, and even his 2nd year in the league it was 35%.

    Nevermind. :(
