Championship Mercedes The stripper not the car..........or possibly both? Whatever he comes up with they should also get a ring as well
I don't know about championship watches, if he is planning on a dynasty. It looks strange to wear 2-3 watches on the same wrist. He might be talking about gold medals like the Olympics.
he should probably do whatever crazy idea in addition to, not instead of rings. That might not get him as much attention for his innovative thinking, but the players want rings.
just found this: So I did a little math: if the Mavericks were to maximize their earnings from all this -- they had the best record in the regular season -- by marching all the way to the title, they would bring in roughly $3 million extra (which is then divided among the players and team staff in a manner not unlike how people are voted off the island in "Survivor.") Jason Terry will buy the rings if Cuban doesn't. http://www.foxsportssouthwest.com/0...mavericks.html?blockID=532626&feedID=4519 Terry: If Cuban won't buy the team rings, I will Jason Terry was a hero in the NBA Finals for the Dallas Mavericks. And for his teammates who would like to have traditional championship rings to honor the franchise’s first NBA title, he might be a hero again. After the Dallas Mavericks defeated the Miami Heat, Mavericks owner Mark Cuban said he might buck the trend of buying championship rings and start a new trend, but the Dallas sharpshooter did not support that idea at his exit interview Tuesday. "As a player and a historian of the game, we want the ring," Terry said. "You look at the Sports Illustrated cover of Bill Russell holding those rings, you see Phil Jackson's rings . . . you want that ring. That means a lot. That's the thing that you can go to your grave with." Cuban has compared his idea to when Michigan’s "Fab Five" started wearing long shorts, and soon the rest of basketball followed, although he has not said exactly what he has in mind. But for those players who do not like the idea of not getting their ring, Terry told Jim Rome on his radio show that he might take it upon himself to come to their rescue. "I tell you one thing," Terry said. "If I've got to buy those rings myself, Jim, we're going to have rings." Mavericks head coach Rick Carlisle, who won a ring as a player, knows the importance of getting this piece of jewelry and echoes Terry’s sentiments. "I mean, it's got to be rings. I don't know what he's thinking," Carlisle said on Thursday. "You win an NBA championship you got to have a ring. "Now, if he wants to give guys something else besides a ring, that's great. But if you're asking my opinion, I'll give it to you. I'm quite certain that everyone will be well accounted for."
Well if that isn't enough for Cuban to get rings than I don't know what is. Sometimes it's good to be a trendsetter but this is not one of those times.
Sorry, Mark, but you let the champagne smell get stale. Time to wash it out of your hair. It's eating into your brain. Rings. If you wanna buy them all something else, like the pimp-daddy diamond cane that someone else mentioned, please do so. But rings. Everybody wants a ring.
