I've finally broken through your internet anonymity. You must be:

I want to trade Kevin Martin for a high draft pick with lots of upside (Derrick Williams). If we're not going to do that and still attempt to contend with this roster, I'd like to bring in as many stars as possible (Bosh). Am I supposed to bring up trading Martin in every thread and bash anyone who wants to trade for players that would better this roster?

And for the record, you can give Chris Bosh the ball and let him go 1-on-1 in the final minutes. You can't with Kevin Martin. Though Martin could play off of Bosh's isolations.

I know that trade would never happen. But if it were, I think Orlando would have to include something given that Lebron is locked into his contract for several more years and Dwight is not.

No. Someone is a little condescending about the fact that you fail to see something quite obvious even after being prompted repeatedly: that given Miami is obligated to paying more than $60 million to 6 players next year and more in the years thereafter, replacing Bosh's salary with that of Scola + expiring contracts would do nothing to create cap space either for next offseason or in later offseasons under any conceivable CBA scenario.

I thought some posters were taking pretty hard when Bosh did not even consider Houston for more than 20 seconds.

These posters hated Bosh more than Cleveland did LeBron. I kept saying that Houston would not be a logical destination for him, not when New York; Chicago; Miami; and others were out there.

Plus, I did not think he was the right guy.

What about an inconceivable CBA scenario?

Never been a big fan of Bosh, though I supported Morey when he went after him last summer. I've changed my mind after watching him play in these playoffs.

Yes, he has flaws and yes, he's not a No. 1 option kind of guy, but he showed he could be a core player on a championship-caliber team. Definitely a guy you go after if available.

all of morey's chips should be after dwight howard, no matter what the odds are. that is morey's #1 priority.

We're not even a playoff team.....how would an upgrade be bad for us?

As I said earlier, somewhere, I wanted the guy way back when he was going to be playing next to Yao, but honestly, what does he do now that's significantly better than Scola? He doesn't block shots, he's not much better at rebounding, he's not a better passer, he's not very good at stealing the ball, he doesn't shoot a higher percentage from the field, he's not much on the defensive end. By replacing Scola with Bosh, we get better FT shooter (who doesn't get to the line that much), a worse scorer in the post, not nearly the leader Luis is on the court, a guy 4 years younger, and a contract huge in comparison.

No thanks. Oh, and he's making almost exactly twice what Luis is this season.

You guys have all missed the boat. The guy they need to get rid of is Lebron James.

They need a center? Well, we weren't all that high on Brad Miller, anyhow.

    Get 'er done, Morey!

If we sent players to Miami, which would have to include Scola, it would obviously be to give depth to the Heat and save them from a salary cap meltdown in the seasons to come; but I would hope that Bosh would actually go to a third team, maybe moving us up in the draft, something like that.

Don't know what team that would be, as Cleveland would be too ironic a destination (#1, #4), Minnesota (#2) already has Kevin Love, and Utah (#3) already has Paul Millsap.

PatPat and Chuck can have the 4 spot, anyway.

    dwight howard or bust.

having bosh would be nice but replacing scola and filler for bosh doesn't get us any closer to being a contender.

Havent we learned that the best players don't want to play, unless they get to play with other good players?

Depspite what "you" may think or feel about Bosh, he is a really really good player. Is he Kobe, Wade, Lebron or Howard? No, but he isdefinately at Carmello, Amares level right now. As is, no player like Howard or CP3 is going to want to come and play here.

You stick Bosh with Martin and you have two guys that other stars will see and legitimately want to come play with.

I honestly have no idea how you people expect to get any better if we don't make changes. Maybe you are happy with a 40 win team that shows alot of heart, but I am not.

If you have a chance to get Bosh, you do it.

The posters on this forum that say they would do Scola for Bosh.

Why exactly would the Heat do this? If it is to cut salary, why not trade Bosh for young pieces + high picks?

I'm not sure what the allure of Scola is, to the Heat; it isn't like getting Scola would increase their chances of winning the 'ship. At least, if you get young pieces + picks, you strengthen your bench some, and you also might get a top 10 pick in the process, for a future (read: stronger) draft.
