I never think about what "race" I am. This thread made me think about it. I look rather Caucasian (tall), with a hint of Asian that I tend to forget about until people ask me if I have some Asian ancestors. Some people don't ask and act surprised when they find out, but I think it is obvious. My cultural background is Central European (conservative) and I don't feel out of place when I am around my aristocratic friends and am almost the only person who is not blond and blue-eyed. I don't think about it. I have spent a lot of time abroad, and can fit in in many places. I once was the only non-Black person at a hip-hop concert on the UH campus. That's actually not true, I dragged a Japanese friend along. He was very scared. My non-existent dancing skills are unfortunately that of a stiff German or boring Asian math nerd, same goes for singing. I avoid exposing myself to situations in which I would have to sing Karaoke. Once I was forced to, in Korea. It was very embarrassing. Fortunately, everyone was too drunk to pay attention. I am very intelligent, which they say of Asians, but not really outstanding at Math. My temper can be that of a Latin person. I feel very comfortable among Latin people. When we agree to meet at 8, we show up around the same time (8:30 or 9, it doesn't really matter). Black girls sometimes think I am Latin, for whatever reason. They must not have seen me "dance". I like Jewish humor. I like Black music. Ladies call me Greg Oden, so I might have some very remote Black ancestors as well. I am not prejudiced. My prejudice, if any, comes from experience. Talking about experience, I like women of all races. I am almost as old as Fatty. I still go to bars. My friends have long predicted that I would one day get into trouble because I run my mouth a lot, but somehow, it has not happened yet, although I have come close many times. What was the question again?
I forgot to mention in my post that I generally felt like a God writing it, swinging away, and that Karl Lagerfeld once talked to me after a fashion shoot.
Oh my what an incredibly thorough and well thought out poll! I'm surprised there is no distinction between Africans and African Americans though

Meaningless distinction once you have kids in this country; no African table at the school cafeteria.
I'm an Earthling from Venus. My mother was born in heaven, while my father came straight from hell. They met on Venus and we moved here when I was 1 year old.
I don't really think in terms of race, but rather basketball. Back in the day when I was playing a lot, the brothers would compare my game to Billy Paultz and later, Kurt Rambis.
