If Bosh played D and rebounded well, I would agree with you. But he doesn't.

Could not agree with you more.

Miami's motivation won't be for a better player, but rather more cap space for other pieces. I don't think they can afford either of the mentioned, but would want cap space for a center that can rebound and protect the paint. Also, Bosh doesn't seem too happy with how his roll is minimal. He complained about it during the post finals press conference.

Which would reduce their team salary to what and give them how much cap space under various scenarios that might come out of the CBA negotiations?

I'd be cool with that for Bosh.

It would give them scola and about 9-10mill. With that and their expiring, they can do some damage at free agency. Bringing up the CBA means nothing. No one knows what is going to happen there.

Not saying Bosh is elite, but he's a top 3 PF -- let's not forget about that. He's the third option on a Heat team full of great rebounders (Bron, Wade), so naturally his numbers this year will be deflated.

People want all-star players, but they don't want to give up anything for them. "I'll give you Scola and expriings" -- that's a joke of an offer. Patterson is a good young player, but this isn't exactly Blake Griffin we're talking about. I hope he can one day become David West-like; should we pass on a top 3 PF in his prime for a young PF that may become a fringe all-star in two to three years? I wouldn't.

I think Bosh is a better fit with Lebron than Wade is. Maybe trade for Wade?

But then again Miami will be more loyal to Wade than to Bosh, so it won't happen

Maybe Kevin Martin and 14th pick for Wade?

Come to think of it, i wouldn't even waste Scola on this clown. Scola gets to the line more and is a better post player.

If they really wanted to win, Miami's best option would be to trade LeBron for Howard. It's a trade that is fair to both parties.

Having said that, no way Stern or Nike would let it happen.

Patterson is already a better defender than Bosh will ever be. So even if he is the top PF in the league that isn't saying much.

If we're getting Bosh it better be in order convince another (better) superstar to come the following summer (i.e. Paul or Howard). Bosh simply isn't good enough to be your best player, but if it means someone else is coming, I'd be for it obviously.

If Bosh is your first option, then you're lucky to win 40 games.

It's literally the exact same argument you use against Martin, this is so hilarious. Same age, can't be #1 option, terrible defense.

Rebuilding means no 28 year old fringe stars, please.
