^^ Geez, I included one word I should not have in "of" and I get a couple of people going SwoLy-D on me! Yes, I am aware that you and KC are talking about my metaphor and not something else but nonetheless...
Manny- soundslike you and I were in a similar situation in '08. My daughter was born new years eve. However we had one false trip to the hospital when my wife thought her water broke but it didn't. We also had to go to the dr first thing every morning for two weeks prior. Each day he would be sure that was the big day. Lots of timing contractions for them to end up nothing. And I coulnt drink since I didn't want be drunk when the time came Good luck groogrux

So I didn't read all of this thread, but I do want to share the labor times my wife went thru on our three kids: First - three hours Second - 1.5 hours Third - 2 hours My wife doesn't like to waste any time. Have a contraction, pop the kid out, go home. Simple.
Was she induced on any of them? Is that just pushing time? How far along (cm and effaced) was she when she went to the hospital? Labor times differ. One woman can stay home until her contractions are nearly two minutes apart, get to the hospital, and pop out a baby. Her "labor time" would be the forty five minutes she was at the hospital. Other people count labor as when the contractions started. I'm a wuss when it comes to pain so I made sure I was at the hospital in enough time to get an epidural. My first child was induced and lasted 9 hours and 54 minutes and my second took 4 hours and 57 minutes because I coughed his ass out. lol
That was time from first contraction to popping. She was nearly fully dilated on all three before contractions started. The doctor told her it would be quick. It was.
December 6, 1983 my pregnant wife sits down to pee and, it seems to us, her water breaks. We call the doctor and the doctor says "NO WAY"-- even though 12/7 is her due date. We walk through the hospital entrance at 10:30 PM and our son is born at 12:42 AM... in spite of the doctor's protestations. Congratulations RM95 and be ready to move quickly.... and, oh, don't forget your camera.
The horror... the goddamned horror. Just so I can hijack this thread and kick off a new era of Clutchfans history, I present the very first photograph of Hakeem Jamarcus Finley. Spoiler HA! You thought I was kidding, didn't you?
