Yeah, nowhere for Colin Butthurt to hide with his over-the-top Lebron slobber anymore either. "Jordan quit too!" "Lebron is clearly the MVP!" on and on. Blech.

I caught a bit of him this morning on the way into work and Colin was saying how he has always hated the way James plays always loved how magic, kobe and jordan played, the artistry they showed...sounds like someone is backtracking for all the stuff he has been spewing the previous months

seriously what James needs is someone like Barkley with him that will just slap him upside the head hard everytime he does something stupid like what a father would do to his son. not making an excuse that james is like this because he has no father figure - heck a lot of nba players have no father figure and they are ok

i was honestly shocked at the stuff he said at the press conference last night and whenever there was a tough question that was addressed to both him and wade he just looked over to wade to answer it he didnt bother answering those himself.

Shouldn't Riley be that figure to him now that he has signed on to Miami?

he should be but from what it appears from all that is written by people 'in the know' that there isnt a person that lebron respects enough, including riley, that can be that figure.

lebron is that annoying rich kid in high school that gets everything he wants and doesnt give a **** about what he does since he knows he wont ever get in trouble for it - except he is doing it in the nba in the biggest of stages not at a random high school

From bits and pieces over the course of last season, I don't think LeBron and Riles are close. LeBron has insulated himself with ignorant enablers who have no interest in delivering tough-love. At age 26 and having played 8 NBA seasons, it isn't likely LeBron will ever have that sort of figure in his life.

If Lebron starts looking for honest answers he might make himself amenable to a paternal figure. There's no age limit on soul-searching.

Lebron is another athlete that grew up without a father, and is suffering from "Mammas boy" syndrom.

Hey Tmac.....I am looking at you !

True, anything is possible. But guys that have been on a pedestal and worshiped like LeBron have a very hard time getting grounded. It isn't too late for him but it's past the point of being likely. LeBron is more than just a basketball player (like, say, Wade). He's a brand. A larger than life icon. He's so high up it's hard to reach him.

i see Phil Jackson in his future... Does anyone actually believe PJ is gonna stay retired? and Spo is gonna keep his job? 3 stars losing in the finals? Chance at 6 more rings? spoiled superstar? This is totally a PJ job.

I was going for Miami at the start of the finals...(Lesser of two evils) But after about game 4, I started to go for Dallas and actually cheered for them last night.

Lebron is a little b**** and it is obvious. I don't think they win a ring next year either.

I agree; I don't think anyone can reach up to the pedestal and sway him. But if he decided to come down from the pedestal it'd be completely different. He has to take the first step and realize he's not perfect before he can begin to change.

The dude's got his own head stuck up his ass. Bron needs to stop sipping on the Bron koolaid.

LeBron should just man up, take the blame and use it as motivation. He's trying to deflect the criticism too much and that hurt his image even more.

Maybe Riley can reach Wade and Wade can reach LeBron. LeBron seems to respect Wade.

Despite his shortcomings had he stayed the course in Cleveland the day might eventually come (like what we just witnessed with Dirk). For me, that would have been winning the right way.

Bolting for South Beach only made him look like he didn't have confidence in himself nor in his teammates to make a championship happen in Cleveland. Problem is pressure comes with a talent like his, no matter what team he's playing for. There is no escape.

PJ will do it if he's 10 years younger. But he's 65 now and he probably enjoys the retired life way more than the traveling.

Lebron respects John Lucas, Wade and Kidd. I think Kidd had no problem putting Lebron in his place during the Olympics.

Should = operative word. There's nothing in Bron's history to suggest he has the sense to man up.

Honestly I'm not sure what more damage he could do to his Q rating at this point. He's done nothing in the past year that can be looked at in a positive light.
