I wonder if the Warriors regret naming Jackson as HC.

They lack depth big time in that they have no creators off the bench, but the MLE can rectify that. Whoever said Aaron Brooks is right, he'd be deadly coming off the pine and occasionally finishing games for them.

Bosh is just a glorified jump shooter who doesn't rebound or defend well enough. Haslem can make the same wide open shots that Bosh gets. I'd trade Bosh for Bogut to provide interior defense and boards.

Trade LeBron through a SnT for Dwight.

    Chalmers
    Wade
    Miller
    Bosh
    Dwight

They don't need to rebuild. They just need to tweak. (can't say the same thing about our Rockets)

They need size. They need a center who can actually contribute. Tyson Chandler made a big difference in this series.

They need players to get healthy. A healthy Mike Miller and Haslem could help
    them tremendously next year.

They need more pieces. Their best role player is Chalmers in the Finals. That's just not acceptable. Guys like Bibby, big Z, etc. are done and should not longer be on the team.

The Heat will be back. They are too good not to.

LOL I hope he is really successful in GS.

As long as he isn't commentating on national TV, I am happy.

Getting Dwight, though you have to trade either Wade or James, is a step in the right direction.

Acquiring Dwight allows Bosh to take perimeter jumpers; it mirrors the Perkins - Ibaka relationship. In getting Perkins, this allowed Ibaka to do what he did best.

Perhaps Bosh's skills will be maximized, if Dwight comes to Miami.

I highly suspect there will not be a MLE with the new CBA. It is one of the biggest methods by which teams are going over the salary cap and giving excess $$ to borderline good players. The Owners want it gone, and I really think it will be.

    Step 1: Trade Juwan Howard.

    Step 2: Win the championship.

    It's really that simple.

Add insult to injury, trade Howard and Dampier to the Mavs... Both played for Dallas and left. They gotta be regretting it now...

Isn't every team built to Win now? Pat Riley said it would take two years for the team to be complete, so I guess they are on track.

The Media and Public think that, but the Heat wasn't expected to go to the finals this year, but they did. But isn't the celtics built this way, they have to win, as they are getting older, and there time is limited, or the Lakers?
Miami has the one of the best rosters in the NBA to contend for the next 5 years, so will we see what happens.

MLE will not go, as it would kill Free Agency. It might be reduced, but will not fully go. How else would players get fair value, if most teams are at the cap, and a player wants to move teams.

I don't know. Free agency seems like it will take a hit come all these new changes. Heck, if the NBA is looking to adopt franchise tagging it's willing to try anything.

Bills were 2nd best 4 times.
Best on their side 4 times
they still came away with nothing.

    How does Miami get 'better'?

Who is to say Lakers won't? Oklahoma? Boston?
There are at least 5 teams in WIN NOW MODE

Then it looks like there will be a lockout, if owners want hit free agency.
Wonder how long they can hold out for..

Boston Lakers are both old teams, that got a lot older, they are the past now.
Lebron and Bosh are both in there primes, and will have quite a few ring chases wanting to sign up, and take pay cuts to play with them.
They will also have a year of playing together under there belt, and I'm sure will benefit from a big pre season, with the media quieting down on them.
The team that will need to get better are the Bulls in the East, as they have the best chance to stop the Heat.
Still, making the finals, even if you lose, is a lot better then being a lottery team/8th seed knockout year after year.

Yes, but Kobe never had a parade with Pau saying they would win ring upon ring upon ring. KG never had a championship rally before actually winning a title. These guys lit a rocket on their backs to propel them far above the rest. They did all they could to hype it, ESPN bought in and so every sports outlet in the country. When Kobe and Pau came together it was tame. When Boston got Ray Allen and KG it was tame. When Miami got it's three, it was so big it put them under a big ass microscope.

The media did not set this standard of dominance, the Heat did. They hyped it and sure as hell they believed their own hype. They held themselves to this high standard, not us. Then whenever they didn't live up to their own impossible goals they constantly said "wait, isn't this what you want, you wanted to hate us, you wanted us to lose?" Remember when the Heat had a lackluster start and Wade made those stupid comments "well I guess we aren't going to go 82-0". They constantly deferred their failures while still internalizing their successes. A winner internalizes both their failures and successes. Dirk said it best, if he hadn't lost to the Heat years ago, this win wouldn't be so meaningful. Loss creates winners, the Heat think that they are incapable of losing until they actually do, then it's obviously someone else's doing.

Ever the optimist. Go right ahead. I hope further disappointment doesn't hit you too hard.

If they don't fire spolstra, they should hire a better offensive assistant. One of ricks assistants like elston or rj. I've re thought the pg situation and chalmers is fine there. Chalmers was better than bibby all playoffs and it took the elimination game for spoelstra to pull the trigger. Center or low post could be addressed, but I think james could solve that problem. They need a couple of wildcards on the bench. A guy like josh howard, ak-47, or a guy like azuibuike off the bench. Mike miller is nice, but they need a guy who can get his own shot.
