Their second best player on the team will come back healthy next season.

If the Mavs role player continue to play the way they are, I don't see why they can't easily win another one.

Yeah, but Dirk is older, Kidd is older, and injuries still happen. If anything, the Heat still have more upside at this moment.

And Beaubois. Thats 2 guys that can give you 20 PPG right there. Roddy can be Terry 2.0

It is imperative that Mavs sign Peja to a contract before he bolts.

Actually I'm not too sure myself but I think he is.

Though I don't see him going anywhere. Do they have the cap space to keep him?

    Roddy Beaubois also.

Thats why I said it then and will say it now... they CAN do this again.

They are not even that old outside of Kidd and Kidd will have plenty of help behind him...Roddy B and Barrea...Caron Butler will be back (I doubt he runs off elsewhere) and now they have that championship swagger and will attract all the frackken bandwagon vets.

They'll re-sign everyone and be back at the top basically in salary (around 90M)..

if dallas can shoot 41% from the 3pt line the entire playoffs again, then probably. but that won't happen again.

their 3pt shooting barrage were back breakers

I don't know why they would re-sign Peja. He can't defend worth anything.

Butler might actually sign for less than he was worth on his prior contract, just because he was injured and a year older now. Not much less, but perhaps less.

    The priority should be:

    Butler > Chandler > Barea > Stevenson > Cardinal > Peja.

You honestly don't need Peja, when you have Dirk, Terry, and Butler.

They have always been a good shooting team though. I think the main difference is the collection of defensive big men they have acquired. I think that is what haev put them over the top. They don't get past the Lakers without Chandler IMO, he had a HUGE effect and he always had. The moment he left the Hornets they went from being a solid 2-6 team in the West to being a mediocre team trying to sneak into the playoffs.

Chandler should absolutely be the top priority. They've shown they can win a championship without Butler. Chandler is probably the 2nd most important player on the team.

I agree. And now the trade that never happened is hurting the most. Wasn't Jeffries the only thing we were giving up in that 4 team deal to bring chandler here?

I don't see them repeating, mainly because I don't see how their players can shoot that well again. That was some abnormal shooting.

I honestly expect Miami to address some of their weaknesses and be right back here next year.
