Nah, the NBA narrative in this case is that, much like the Mavericks, this team just learned some lessons I would rather they not have. They add the right pieces and come back with with the appropriate humility Dallas just spanked into them, they will be every bit the 70 win monster JVG was predicting they would this season.

The Heat have so many options to "rebuild." The question is whether or not they want to keep their core. I mean... they can give up Wade or Lebron for another All-Star if they wanted to and still be in contention. Imagine if they offered Lebron for Dwight.
Wade, Bosh, and Dwight. Then get a couple of defending wings, who can shoot, and you're good to go.

You don't panic and rebuild a team that breezed through the Eastern conference playoffs in their first year together, regardless of how poorly they played in the Finals.

I was very surprised when Mark Jackson said at the end of the game that "every player is available."

The Heat need a legit starting center and a backup point guard (I think Chalmers would be fine as a starter).

Trade either Wade or Lebron to Orlando for Howard.

Exactly... Cleveland contended with Lebron. Miami is supposed to be different.

Trade Bosh for an all-star pg and find better ring chasers that will sign for the League minimum

This team doesn't need an All-Star point guard. They need a legit big man down low, and lockdown wings that can shoot. Adding a star PG only takes the ball out of Lebron and Wade's hands more. Lebron, in this series, showed that he can't function without having the ball consistently. He's terrible off the ball, and just doesn't know what to do. Wade is better, but he's far more effective being the primary playmaker.

Can BimiaThug do an analysis of the Heat cap situation and what they can do this summer?

In all seriousness...the heat can be back to the finals for the next 3 or 4 yrs with this same team...they'll have a summer to work out the kinks. Despite so many crowning them before they even played a game, i think early on people thought reality sank in and they werent going to be that good...yet they still made it this far and to a game 6, which wasn't far from being a game 7. Very close games.

I think they just need to do 2 things. 1) find another bibby kind of player on the cheap, but with some more game left. (By the way, i can't believe Bibby's been such a nonfactor, he really declined at a fast rate. The guy was putting up 15 and 5 just 2 seasons ago. I can't believe he's done like this.) and 2) find a von wafer kind of player, young, can shoot, athletic, and can actually make some moves.

Even if they do nothing, with more experience and extra motivation they could push this team next year to 7 and possibly win it. Or they may get lucky and face a team they match up better with.

RA is an amazing coach, but even he would have trouble with this team.

Trade Lebron for Durant or whatever you need to do to make the numbers work.

If OKC did that they would be crazy. I would rather build my team around Durant right now.

The thing I would worry about as a Heat fan would be
The heat becoming the Buffalo Bills of the NBA

What the heat have done is .. . made it so they can NEVER take a year off.
They are in WIN NOW mode everyyear.

They have to hit a home run EVERY YEAR or it is a failure.

Right, Adelman always get iso-players to embrace motion offense.

Their cap situation is tough. All three are due raises next year and the cap is not going up while becoming more of a hard cap. The Mavs have enjoyed more salary flexibility up to this point than the Heat will likely have going forward.

I was gonna say Mike Miller and Lebron for Howard and Jameer Nelson.
