Dirk's response to Wade & LeBron's mockery of his sickness

Cheesy is the best word for it. It's not like Dirk was born a chronic cough-er or suffers from a condition that causes such most of his life.

 

Regardless of who's playing, I want to see a fairly called game of basketball. I am rooting for the Mavs but I see Miami in the dog house most of the time. They can't rebound or block out without getting a call. A legit game is what most true fans want.

 

I used to like Wade. This series has been disappointing.

Dallas has been trash talking during the games and in the media as well, but, unlike what they Heat say and do, it hasn't been blown out of proportion. IIRC, Stevenson, Marion, Terry, and Chandler have all trash talked in the media. Stevenson called LeBron (and D-Wade?) great actors. Whether that's true or not, you don't really have much room to talk when you have guys like Dirk and Barrea who flop and flail every chance they get on your team.

 

Who the hell cares what Stevenson says. Nobody is quoting Chalmers or Bibby. The treatment Wade and Bron get is no different that the treatment Kobe got for a long time or any different than what would happen if any other team superstar does something big. Kobe did the same thing Noah did this year and Kobe got a lot more media coverage for it bc he is Kobe. It just so happens that two of the top 5 stars in the league are on the same team so everything they do is magnified.

 

I don't understand how anyone can make the argument that LeBron is being victimized by the media. He had a ONE HOUR SPECIAL on ESPN just for him to tell everyone where he was going (see: Decision, The). ESPN is all over this guy's jock, and you want to play the victimization card? Give me a break- ESPN, Disney, the NBA, and entertainment everywhere will make a lot more money if he wins the championship, so they are not out to get him.

At the end of the day, winning cures everything. LeBron, you want everyone to forget that you're a self-centered egomanic? Just shut up and win 2 games in 3 days. After that, people tend to forget.

It's crazy how much emotional investment players put into this sport. Play 48 minutes, go home. You're paid to do that. It's like watching backstage to WWE.

 

The best player in this series has been Dirk Nowitzki, closely followed by Wade.

 

Nobody is quoting Chalmers or Bibby because they haven't said anything in terms of calling out the Dallas players.

Do you have more respect for Kidd or LeBron as a person? The only reason I find it funny is because folks have some serious hate for guys basically being arrogant dudes, and I completely agree that the Heat players are being some arrogant dudes. But then I'm like do you see the guys on the other team and some of the things they have done in their past, or even in this series?

If I'm going to root against players for anything non-basketball related, i.e. for anything that doesn't occur directly on the court, then my direction will be towards certain Maverick players and not the Miami duo. Those two are idiots for making fun of Dirk, but what is Marion for calling LeBron a b**** and making masturbation motions on the court?
