Oh man this is gonna be good! Finally they're showing us some love. I'm gonna take these Rockets through dynasty aand everything!
The reason why don't include all these retro teams is because they need to get the players present on those teams to contribute their likeness to the game. If some players don't like the amount of money they are offering to buy their likeness then they just fill them in with generic players. Obviously a team full of generic players won't look good so they'll just cut that team out. They finally got the Rockets!
i freaking hope they fix the shorts. In 2k11, the retro teams look r****ded because they have long baggy shorts and jerseys that teams wear today. They need super short for 70's and 80's and for 90's and up they need bout 2 inches above the knees. It just looks wrong with baggy uniforms. One thing that would make this game perfect for me is some kind of face recognition technology to upload your face onto your created player(ala PES, FIFA, FIGHT NIGHT, etc). I am sick and tired of franchise mode b/c it gets boring when the league is filled with a bunch of generic faces. Everyone you create looks related to one another. You would think with a sport like basketball, and peoples faces being shown all the time, that this is something that would have been added long ago.
yea!!! Dream shakes galore!!! I cant wait to get it in the post, turn and face up, and beat the guy off the dribble.
Wow, I thought I was kinda over 2k series and basketball games in general having bought a game every year since the original NBA Live on SNES but if they go retro and can add sig moves from back 'n the day, i'm all over this. Would love to play with these teams online in single head to head and a tournament mode.
Hey OP, where did you get this info? You better not get me all hyped up for nothing bc i can't find any news on this.
Next step? A retro franchise where you choose a year (or decade) and start playing the franchise from that point, complete with all the future draft classes.

Yeah. If a 2K dev said it; it's as good as gold. Just wish they included both Rockets teams. Now tinman can relive Hakeem's glory days. :grin:

yea, I kind of got tired of the game and don't play as much. I bought the kobe package, then last year fo the MJ hype, and now just to play with the old rockets, I'll probably have to give it a try. But just the game play and kinks, its the best out there, but still want to see it take care of some of the annoyances
that makes sense, thanks! but why can't they just use the likenesses they already have on file from this year to bring back the retro teams they had in 2k11? like the show time lakers were in 2k11, just put them in 2k12 and send them all a check for the amount they agreed upon? i guess its a budget thing too...

like i said... since im on a site where the devs post... i would have loved to see that link because as far as I know the only thing that has been confirmed by a dev is the walk up animation and dirk having his own sig package thats a fact....
