Most people root for the underdog. That's the ONLY reason why Dallas is cheered on by the masses.

    Screw Dallas either way.

I actually admire that Lebron, Wade and Bosh decided to take control of their own destiny and made a plan to team up together to win championship. I want them to struggle a little bit before they win their first championship and that is the main reason why i'm rooting for dallas in this series.

the masses cheered for boston and chicago when they played miami too. the masses would cheer for the lakers when they play miami.

reality is people don't like miami. that's a fact. so it would be nice if this DISH stops posting news about that, and focus on the game/NBA finals

That article is a bunch of crock. Leaving their homes and fans, taking less money and setting aside their eg ?? They didn't set aside their ego, that's one. Two, they getting paid freaking millions so there's no honour in what they did. Leaving home is what many players do, some a few times a year when they get traded. The guy is full of it. And the race card ? Please...

Players have their trademarks, Mutumbo with his finger way, Larry Johnson with his LJ arm thingy, Vince Carter with this pointing at the sky thing..etc etc. This is considered the norm and not by anyways trying to undermine the other team or intimidate them. On the other hand, a player referring to himself as "King James" when he hasn't won JACK or making fun of another player's illness is considered okay??? WHAT???

Mark Cuban has been noticeable off the radar this whole playoffs. He's completely avoided the press.

Oh let's not go there....and Dwayne Wade is a model citizen when it comes to domestic issues? Didn't his ex-wife claimed that he cheated on her with numerous women by basically pulling a Tiger Woods? And let's not forget our favorite former Rocket, Juwan Howard.

ha, he is describing the celtics, and people respect the celtics, the way they approached it all, and as for the race card, obviously they are black as well, but you see a different mentality and approach. You didn't see them cry and hug for the cameras after a semifinal series or mock cough other guys injuries, they played and they played the right way. The heat with their 3 person concert guaranteeing 7 championships? this guy overlooked everything just like the heat do

Why is it that white sports writers are even more likely to pull the race card for black athletes than black sports writers?

Is it some kind of white guilt?

Or is it just whoring for attention?

It's fear. If they don't mention race, they leave it to a black activist to, and when that happens it means a world of hurt.

Maybe it's because white sports writers are more likely to hear a lot of racist bs coming from white guys who would be more guarded around black sports writers?
