I hope Thabeet is working hard, because no-one believes in him right now.

    awesome!!

I know Biyombo is raw, but he possesses the important factors to become a factor inside. He has high motor, good developing foot work, and a tenacity to block shots and leadership skill that you don't see in this type of raw prospects.

If Morey liked the Polish Hammer I think he'll like the Congolese Bomb! ;)

Wish Biyombo would've played in Eurocamp games. Think he would've made major impact.

Of course, every NBA team who scouted him knows this already. Don't think Biyombo hurt himself, but didn't help himself either.

They had him doing a lot shooting, which isn't his forte. Looked long, athletic and went hard, but his shot needs a lot of work.

Sorry for late Bismack Biyombo update. Ran into some tech issues today. Biyombo workout was shaky.

As far as players who actually played at the camp ... Texas' Dogus Balbay won a few fans here with his play.

Surveyed a lot of NBA teams about where Biyombo & Motiejunas projected to go. Both appear to be in 10-20 range.

That's not Motiejunas' game either. One-on-none workouts don't favor players like Biyombo or Motiejunas. Both should've just played in camp

Also saw Donatas Motiejunas workout tonight. He fell into same trap as Biyombo. Lots of shooting and he couldn't hit a shot.

Biyombo was a great interview. Will have video and story up on Monday. Has a really fascinating story.

Just imagine what could happen if McHale gets his hands on this guy.

David Thorpe is a moron that has no clue what the hell he is talking about. The Euroleague is the 2nd best league in the world. The ACB isn't even remotely close to as good as the Euroelague.

Myth: Kevin McHale will improve our post player's game more than the predecessor.

If I had to choose between Donatas or Bismack I'm taking the 7 footer. Sorry.

I just hate hearing about soft 7-footers. Even though I feel like every 7-footer that isn't built or filled out is automatically labeled that at some point, which isn't fair. But one second I read he can be a non-chalant and then I read he has great focus...who knows.

But I'm intrigued my Biyombo, although there is no way in hell he is 18. Top defensive line college prospects don't have that muscle development at 18 years old....and he is a basketball player. Impossible.

Those videos were pretty hard to watch... Is his ability on the defensive side of the ball that good enough to disregard his obvious offensive woes and select him @ #14? I still like Biyombo as a prospect, but I'm starting to have doubts that he's worthy of a lottery pick. I'm thinking Biyombo is really benefiting due to the fact that this is a pretty weak draft class.

Sigh... right now, its his defense and his upside that make him a lottery pick. He would look ten times better in a five on five setting like there was in the nike hoop summit practice, and people can see the defensive monster this kid can be. This perticular work out setting, 1 on 0, only benefits players of high skill level. But even a player of high skill level can struggle in a workout where all the top executives are looking at your every move.. \

exhibit A - Donatas Motiejunas.(BTW this video has a lot of Morey commentary)

Are you sure about that 7 footer now after that video? Motiejunas won't be blocking a lot of shots.

The grass is always greener on the other side? What big man has McHale gotten credit for developing? Just because he was a great big doesn't mean he's a great teacher of them. Look at Patrick Ewing.

CD personally worked out our big men and helped develop their post games. McHale is not going to suddenly know the right buttons to push -- if CD can't/couldn't get through to them, odds are there's not much hope (i.e., Hasheem Thabeet).

I never said Biyombo's game wouldn't improve. I said it wouldn't improve anymore than if we still had Rick, JVG, etc. The Rockets will likely still ask CD to work with him on his low post game. McHale has a lot more responsibilities to worry about than conducting 1-on-1 workouts for one of his players.

...But people will still keep thinking that McHale is magically going to turn Thabeet into a serviceable player.
