He worked his way out and proceeded to earn a save, striking out 2. He got 7 outs without allowing a Longhorn to reach. ASU defeated UT, 3-1. Jesse Wierzbicki was also in action for North Carolina as they faced Stanford. The cleanup hitter, he went 1-4 and scored a run. UNC beat the Cardinal 5-2.
