This is revisionist history. Before the playoffs series, no one here ranked Dallas over either the Celtics or the Bulls. LeBron is having a bad series, but that doesn't mean his flaws have been exposed. It just means he's having a bad series. He had great series against comparable Chicago and Boston. Sometimes it's about matchups, sometimes it's about what other guys on your team are doing, sometimes it's about just playing badly.

Now what it looks to me is that in the Finals Wade has decided to be more aggressive (again, maybe because of the matchup) and that has thrown LeBron off his game, because he suddenly is in sidekick mode instead of scorer mode. That seems more of a flaw in the team's offensive chemistry than an individual problem.

I don't know what you're talking about, after the perkins trade boston was a completely different team , and I deff had dallas, SA , or the Lakers going all the way. Dallas's play has really been different this year, the nuts and bolts that weren't screwed in all the way dating back all the way to the kidd trade have finally been set in place.

So can you show me a post of yours where you predicted Dallas would be in the Finals? Because I remember most people saying they'd be beaten by Portland in the first round (I think the poll is still on this board somewhere). Meanwhile, almost everyone had Chicago or Boston coming out of the East.

you don't have to believe me. And picking a lower seed is usually not one of the predictions the majority make, a lot of people on here hate the mavs because of 05. Don't be so quick to extrapolate something based on an internet poll.

I will tell you that I didn't have the heat making it, but at the same time I felt the bulls were kind of weak. Not because they are a bad team. But because I think they aren't experienced enough, even though rose won mvp, he has a couple more years in this league until he can. + I think TT needed to coach the team a bit longer.

It's not just here. No one gave the Mavs credit because they have a history of choking, starting in '06, to the debacle 1st round in '07, to the recent years of first round exits. Even those who thought they'd get by Portland figured they'd be demolished by the Lakers. By the OKC series, FINALLY people started giving them some credit.

No doubt the Mavs are playing great ball and peaking at the right time, but that doesn't mean that the Bulls or Celtics are suddenly poor teams. Sometimes it's about matchups too.

I always thought that LeBron was the next evolutionary step of guys like Pippen/Drexler/Grant Hill, but you know, any swingman of note just HAS to be compared to Jordan...
