So was the US at war in Bosnia? Was the US at war in Iraq during the first Bush and Clinton administrations?
There is a difference between a Republican sex scandal and Democratic one. Dem sex scandals are infact usually worse and more offensive. John edwards cheating on his cancer ridden wife. Weiner on his pregnant wide. Clinton on his....well, I guess you can't blame him right? But it's only the slimey Republicans who cheat. You would never see Ronnie or Bush cheat on their wives. It's only the ones who sneak in the Party under false pretenses. I mean, how can the Republican party have real cheats and such? They are the party of god. Dems are the party of abortion, atheism, and promiscuity. That's why Dems shouldn't get off lightly. Republicans are more god fearing and therefore we don't need to judge them, god will later on.
For those of you who still believe this is over, or that we should just move on, or that weiner should not resign, read this: http://patterico.com/2011/06/09/evidence-that-weiner-was-talking-dirty-to-underage-girls-part-3/
From the comments, an "ironic" weiner quote: "Sadly, the Internet is the predator’s venue of choice today. We need to update our strategies and our laws to stop these offenders who are a mere click away from our children."
Except that REpublican Newt Gingrich cheated on his cancer ridden wife. And Weiner never actually had sex outside of his marriage as far we know. I wouldn't say that makes the Dem scandals worse. Though it's really stupid to take count and see which is worse. It's not a score card that will have a winner at the end.
Police go to the house of a 17 year old girl Weiner was in contact with. Hopefully this guy will get what he deserves.
[honest] Question for Sam: Q. If a 46-year-old man sends a photo of his penis to a minor, does it matter whether (a) this was “consensual,” or (b) the recipient of the photo was “at least to the best of [his] knowledge” an adult?
Yea that was pretty good. Also it's definitely NSFW but here it is. Spoiler <iframe width="425" height="349" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/EIjvb_L5QLM" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
I agree with what Glenn Greenwald wrote about this, but Wiener is politically finished. Score one for the GOP, and let's hope Wiener steps down, so the media can focus on more serious matters.
