opera. have tried chrome, used to use firefox. don't like chrome even if it's fast, it misses out on a lot of features that i like (saved sessions). Opera beats all other browsers by a country mile. Chrome has memory leak issues, firefox is just slow.
I like Firefox better than Chrome. I get more crashes on Chrome... Firefox is about the same speed and a lot more stable.
I switched back to Chrome last month when Firefox started acting buggy. Usually it's the other way around.
Firefox on Ubuntu. It's as fast or faster than Chrome on Windows. Chrome's also available on Linux. I can't remember if it renders pages even faster but, I think the most recent version still can't integrate with the DE you're using i. e. it doesn't look like a native app.
The problem I have is I can't use the parental controls. So I'm trying to find a way to get remove the private browsing option so the kids can't use it.
Chrome is the best. It wins every speed test. Also less memory issues. I also like the Incognito feature, so I can browse in private. For like the times I'm going to plan a gift or surprise birthday party and don't want my friends who use my computer from knowing it in advance.
You do realize that if your kids are determined enough to browse within a private session in order to hide things from you, that they could just as easily delete their cookies/history following a regular session, right?
As a certified computer nerd, I should tell you that your second statement sounds pretty ridiculous. Chrome is definitely more secure than Firefox. It definitely hasn't had nearly as many security vulnerabilities that needed fixing. It's also much faster and better behaved with memory than Firefox. My only knock against Chrome used to be the lack of extensions, but now that it has those it is the browser for me. I like that it also handles extensions much more cleanly than Firefox -- you don't have to restart the browser to install or disable an extension. I rarely ever come across sites that don't render right in Chrome, and those are almost always crap internal corporate web sites...that's what the IE tab extension is for. Occasionally I'll still use Firefox, but never for long. Chrome really can't be beat for day-to-day web usage.
Downloaded Firefox this morning, but got an error message on CNBC's subscription video streams which they said the site only worked on Internet Explorer; so probably sticking with that.
Opera on Mac actually his this feature. 3-finger swipe let's you go back and forward. If you swipe up or down it works as the page up/page down feature. It also has a turbo feature. When it is on, it will actually load pages faster when it detects slow internet. But it does compromise a little on quality of pictures and stuff.
"have"? What, is it something you purchase? Don't you mean "played" instead? http://chrome.angrybirds.com, right?
