Well, he wasn't hitting jumpers and he wasn't getting calls against the doubles when he did attack. But he still should have attacked more. The Dallas defense has been really good.. biggest surprise to me about this team. I thought there was no D in Dallas.
LBJ proves he should not be mentioned in the same sentence as Kobe. Pippen will never rank above Kobe no matter how many rings he got. Wade may have a chance to challenge Kobe if he wins 4 more rings.
Good point. Kobe has never had a bad Finals ever. IIRC, he never even had a bad shooting game in a Finals!
Kobe never quit in finals. And he hit big shots in 4th quarter no matter how bad the first 3 quarters he did. He failed to win twice, but he never failed to try.
And amazingly, in the worst final performance Kobe did according to Clippy in game 7 2010, Kobe scored 10 points in 4th quarter, one short of what LeBron's combined in 5 games this year.
A good question is: can LeBron win with this roster? Howard, Amare, LeBron, Wade, Rose starting Noah, KG, Bosh, Melo, Ray Allen, Joe Johnson, DWill coming off bench.
There's an American expression (might be censored out back in your homeland) that goes, "if you throw enough **** at the wall, some of it's going to stick".
LOL @2004. He shouldn't have tried because the Lakers would have won. Also, his worst Finals performance was going 4/20 for 8pts against the Pacers back in 2000. Or maybe his 4/13 for 11pts against the Pistons. There are so many, it's hard to choose.
Kobe was limping on one leg in 2002, he missed game 3 entirely. Yet he had 28 points in game 4, including all lakers 8 points when Shaq's fouled out. And he hit a big 3 or Lakers would be swept in 2004. Malone's injury was the reason they lost, not Kobe. Kobe just played how he led the team in west conference. The Malone injury gave Pistons freedom to double him.
Not sure why he took 20 shots if he was limping. And no, the Lakers would not have been swept if Kobe didn't play because they would have been better off without him shooting 35% and hogging the ball. Anyway, as usual you are turning this thread into another Kobe v. the world situation. Why don't you just watch the games and comment on them instead of worrying about Kobe's legacy. Kobe has nothing to do with this game. He is not in the Finals. LeBron having a bad game or whatever has nothing to do with Kobe. In ten years when no one ever talks about Kobe anymore, you're going to realize how ridiculous your campaign for his legacy has been. Try to enjoy the moment. These are a good Finals.
I didn't, it's you who has been hurt by Kobe's performance last few years and you feel obliged to throw out a cheap shot here and there in an irrelevant thread. You talked like a bitter dumped b**** and that surprisingly fits a clipper fan well.
He actually did last year in gm7 against the celts, artest was the guy that actually stepped up in that game offensively.
I don't know what to be angry with for being a Kobe fan. If anything Kobe overachieved for his talent.
I don't know why either, but you are really angry. Everything you post is so hateful. I mean, I poke at you for being a Kobe worshipper but it's just in fun; most of my posts are about the games going on. Everything you post is just "LeBron sucks", "LeBron will never be Kobe" etc. Nothing ever positive. I don't get it but it can't be good.
This series reminds me of the old Tyson-Holyfield boxing fights. Tyson was younger, stronger and physically a nearly unstoppable force, and he would have the clear upper hand in the early rounds. But once Holyfied was able to get over the early onslaught, he slowly took control of the fight with his superior technique and intelligence and gradually took control of the fight. Of course, the thing about Tyson is that he is always one knockout swing away from gaining control again.
