What a BS call on James. 6 point swing on the next possession.

Anyway, Stern makes sure game 7 transpires. Heat in 7.

don't you realize that lebron caught the ball on the low baseline side and thus the charge call was correct?

I'm not from Sacremento, LOL. Stop making assumptions. I'm from Sachse, Texas and was at the summit in the finals during both Rockets championships. I hate the Mavs. Rockets fan for life.

His triple double wasn't significant because HE CHOKED IN THE FOURTH QUARTER. And like I said, would you rather take 30/15/8 or 17/10/10?

And you DID say last 5 minutes.

    You even bolded it yourself.

My goodness your memory is bad. Did you even watch the game?

My point was his triple double isn't significant. He is the best player in the league and he puts up 17 points and a combined 10 points in the fourth quarter in the series?

Who cares about his triple double, he choked. That's all he will be remembered for in this game, plain and simple. Hence, his triple double isn't significant.

    Get that through your head.

Switch Cardinal and Dirk on those plays and Dirk gets 5 charge-calls for him. That's the fundamental problem with NBA refs.

Guys, the charging call was correct. After Wade hit that 3 to put them up by 4, the fatal flaw was that Bosh let Dirk score on that easy dunk going the other way. Then the mavs are jacking up 3's from their hip and all of them going in. Its amazing that the game was even THIS close. If the mavs shoot like that again, they will be champs. If they do not, they will lose the next two in Miami.

His performance in these finals has been horrendous.

We all know Stern pushes this to 7 somehow no matter what. I'll take the team that can score in the paint as opposed to the one that lives by the 3.

Horrendous in 1 game so far, tonight he played pretty well.
Heat are down 3-2, and playing at home, should win the next game.
It will come down to a 7th game, and then after that game, we can decide how bad or good he has played.

I don't disagree with what you say. The only thing a triple double tells you is that the guy had a good all around game. Without looking at the actual numbers, triple double tooted as some extremely great achievement is misguided. 10-10-10 is not better than 11-9-9. Setting an artificial threshold like "10" for every category signifies nothing.

What would be a more meaningful accomplishment would be if the players led his team in points, rebounds and assists.

Years ago, people were tooting that Francis was a 20-6-6 PG as if he was a extremely rare talent. But what that really tells you is that Francis was a good (not great) scorer, a pretty good rebounder for his size, and a mediocre passer as a PG.

What would be more meaningful would be if the guy was in top 5 of the league in points, rebounds, and assists.

LeBron actually played a pretty good game up until the end-- he just wasn't scoring a lot but he got so many easy shots for his teammates. I think most of us (myself included) expected him to have a monster game though, and that's where there's a letdown. I thought there was a good chance he'd throwdown 40 tonight.

Still no where close to finals mvp, even if the heat win that would go to wade....

and why should the Heat win the next game? Dallas won in Miami....

    it's like i'm talking to a wall.

here was your response to why lebron's triple double, which is a ridiculous statement to make in the first place.

you say triple doubles are the most meaningless stat in basketball. you never said his triple double was insgnificant b/c he choked. but thanks for agreeing with my point.

and here was my original post about his last 5 minutes posted 3-4 pages back:

in fact, you responded to this post and just highlighted the first part while ignoring the last part. this is what you call taking quotes out of context.

so your original argument about how triple doubles in general are an insignificant stat, now turns into lebron's triple double is insignificant b/c he choked, which was my main premise throughout.

but o well, like i said, talking to a wall. and going around in circles.
