I wonder how it must feel for Dampier; to know that he will have sat on two losing benches in the NBA Finals must be devistating. And where is Eddie House? You guys say they need 3 point shooting to take pressure of the zone that's caving in on LeBron and Wade, he is their version of Jason Terry from outside. No James Jones?

I know starter and star player minutes go up in the Finals but I don't see very much production coming from Bibby in this series not sure why they wouldn't tray Wade at the point and Jones at the 3 with LeBron at the 2.

What call in that 4th quarter is questionable? Lakers were -99 in FT disparity through first 3 rounds last year. That's unheard of for a championship team.
And Celtics had 28+ FT in game 2 2008 alone. If you want to question game 7 of last year, maybe Lakers should get back the 2008 championship first.
Refs preferential treatment? True, Stern did everything he could to help his stepson LeBron dethrone Kobe. But LeBron just quit.

And let's check the stats for last playoff. Cavs on top though only played 2 series, what a surprise. The two finalists are at the bottom.

Yeah, but JC isn't a homer ref, he's a Laker ref. More generally, he's a ref that Stern brings in when he wants a desired outcome (which explains the Laker bias). I'm not sure if that's Heat or Mavs tonight (I can see arguements either way), but expect one-sided calls for sure.

I would really like to see James Jones get some PT in this series. He's a great shooter and an underrated defender. It made sense that he stopped playing in the Chicago series because he was hurting their rebounding (something Mike Miller is very good at), but they need the shooting again.

That's a damn shame if it's true, I've always liked him as a player.

Thinking of it a bit more...does anyone actually believe Dirk was playing with a 102 degree fever? I'll add another caveat...does anyone who has actually had a fever of 102 think that Dirk was playing with a 102 degree fever?

Miami Heat's LeBron James: 'This is the biggest game of my career'

    DALLAS—
Miami Heat forward LeBron James didn't mince words as he emerged from Thursday morning's shootaround, in advance of Thursday night's Game 5 of the NBA Finals against the Dallas Mavericks.

"This is what I've been dreaming about my whole life," he said, with the best-of-seven series tied 2-2.

For the past two days, it actually has been the stuff of nightmares, as James relived his playoff-career-worst eight-point outing in Tuesday's 86-83 Game 4 loss.

"It's nothing new that I haven't heard last year or the year before that," he said, as he leaned against a wall across from the Heat locker room at American Airlines Center. "I've heard a lot of games define my legacy. I'm not worried about that.

"This is what this is about. This is what we all dreamed about, being in this moment. No one ever said it was going to be easy."

He said that has been the case with this overhauled, star-studded, much-maligned Heat roster all season.

"We haven't had anything easy all year. I haven't had anything easy all year," he said. "So it's there. We look forward to it. I'm looking forward to it."

Asked about his confidence about a bounce-back game, he said he could only go in with the proper approach.

"The one thing you can't control is if the ball goes in the basket," he said. "But you're able to feel of how you're going to approach the game.

"You just got to go out and do it yourself."

Because this one, he said, means a bit more.

"This," he said, "is probably the biggest game of my career. No, it is."

I've had pretty high ones as well, but they usually debilitated me completely. Not sure how a doctor in his right mind could even clear a player to play with a 102 fever even with "meds."

Not saying he wasn't sick, just thinking aloud that it might have been a tad exaggerated.

Miami will win this, and then have 2 games at home.
Wonder what the odds are for Miami winning, as Lebron will go off this game, and there is no way Dallas will come thru.

vegas has it as pick'em.. meaning more people have bet on Miami since the line came out. by a good margin.

Lebron is not the MVP and maybe the 3rd best player on the team this finals. so even if the heat win, i'm fine with it. Lebron is just another 2 or 3rd guy this finals. just like yall hit kobe with.
