I'll be at the game!!! Has anyone been to the AAC in Dallas recently? Trying to see how early ya need to get there to park.
Wade was dominating the game until DAL threw that zone at him. Exposed the fact that he and Lebron cannot shoot the 3 consistently.
Yes, without Chalmers, Bibby, and Miller hitting threes, the Miami offense really stagnates against the zone. Spoelstra needs to bring in a better offensive system next year, because the one they have now is terrible. They have the two most gifted scorers in the league and they look like the 90s Knicks.
You need to get there EARLY man. For the Finals, our lots are filling up an hour before game starts. If you have a parking pass, you're in good shape. If you're paying with cash, get to the AAC two hours to 90 minutes before the game starts because only a few of AAC's lots are taking cash (the Parking Garage will until about 6PM, there is a lot in front of the AAC that fills up 90 minutes before game time, and the parking lots behind the garage that do the same). Unless you fold up money and hand it to a cash attendant. They can get fired for that though, so be discrete. AAC has the cheapest lots by about $20, but they fill up quick. Good luck.
So, the refs have been assigned for Game 5 and it's not great news for the Mavs: Joey Crawford, Mike Callahan, and Bill Kennedy. What's interesting is that Callahan and Kennedy called Game 1 (along with Steve Javie), but they broke up that crew to pair them with Joey Crawford who called Game 2 in this series. This bodes ill for the Mavs because Joey Crawford is a pretty biased road referee which means he's prone to favor the Heat tonight. It worked in the Mavs favor in Game 2, but it might be a reversal tonight. Whatever happens tonight, it'll be interesting to see what the NBA does for the Game 6 refs. If they assign the game to Dick Bavetta, you can rest assured it's to ensure a Game 7 (obviously, good for whoever loses Game 5). If the Mavs win Game 5, I can see a scenario where Bavetta gets Game 6 (to ensure a Heat win and force a 7th game) and then Steve Javie heading the crew in Game 7 (a notorious home referee). So basically, what I'm saying is that if Stern wants to screw over Cuban, he's set himself up to play three trump cards in a row - while ensuring a prolonged series to help with TV ratings. Thoughts?
Why would you call Joey Crawford a biased road referee when he was part of that sham of a 4th quarter in Game 7 of last year's Finals? That most definitely swung the championship over to the home team.
This will be a good one. Anyone that finds Lebron more annoying than Jason Terry is delusional. It's not just his whack flying motions in the first quarter of a preseason game. It's him yelling "this is our house!" in a game 3 loss. It's him indicating that "it's over!" after his 'heroic' two free-throws in game 4.
i haven't really seen this. dirk gets lots of 1-on-1 opportunities against anthony and haslem. maybe not as many as okc was letting him have against collison, but still plenty. because everyone is scared of the dallas shooters. outside of some traps, he is usually only met by a second defender right at the basket by people trying to help and block the shot. when lebron or wade even look at the basket the mavs pretty much have all 5 guys shutting off the paint. the main reason wade can have success is his career-long preternatural ability to change directions and maneuver around defenders at all sorts of angles (lebron with his size doesn't have this and i think it's a big reason wade is outplaying him, even outside of game 4). can you imagine wade getting 2 game-winning layups going 1-on-1 with no help defense the way dirk already has this series? what does that even mean? does the nba ever have control of a team aside from fining them for doing something wrong? it's not like they go handcuff a team and throw them on the bus and drive them to the media when they're late.
Home teams are 32-41-1 against the spread (41-33 straight up) in games refereed by Joey Crawford this year (according to this site). With the spreads so close (Game 5 is basically a Pick 'em game), this bodes well for Miami. Not saying, just saying...
I'll be there too!!! I haven't been for a playoff game, but I plan on getting there a little before 7...I will probably park at my work and taxi it back and forth...Normally where I park its $15-$20 during the season, but for finals, I'm sure its double... I'll be in the nosebleed section but I don't care!!! I expect LJ to have a good game...But I also expect Dallas to play consistent to take advantage of the last home game...I'm so pumped!!!!
Why do people keep saying this? Dallas played zone twice, TWICE, as in, on TWO possessions that entire 4th quarter. Miami's offense just sucked.
