I know there's a little bit of a knock on him for injury, but in 2010, the guy was doing pretty well. He's a low post scorer who can be a presence in the middle. I'm not sure how his shotblocking is, but he's a decent rebounder. Also, he's not that old or anything. Although...if McHale really does implement a quick-hit offense, I'm not sure exactly how Kaman fits into that model. Another interesting takeaway from the piece: Jordan seems to be a priority for the Clippers. I know a lot of fans here were hoping we could get Jordan. Thoughts?
Well, I've said this for awhile now. 3 way trade with maggette to the clipps, kaman to the rockets,and scola,miller to the bucks. The rockets get the center and the large expiring,the bucks get a solid 4 with bogut,and the clipps get a 2/3 scorer off the bench.
Man, Maggette HATED his time with the Clips. This scenario would not please him much, not much at all.
Kaman is AOK IMHO, but they think they can get Iggy for him. Bud + ain't no Iggy. Of course Rox were never going to get DeA/J. And frankly I'm relieved. He's OK, not big $$$ OK, just ok.
exactly. At this point while neither him or yao are preferable choices to bet on health wise next season, I would have to put my money on kaman over yao. Not someone who I would expect to win it all with, but an upgrade and adequate stopgap until we find whoever it is we are looking for.
In Mchale's quick hit offense, the center will be the trailer, he will usually get down the court last, and will be the first up the court. Mchale will look for quick elbow shots/head fakes. If the player is open enough, he will take the shot, if not he will fake and drive looking for a cutter or a spotter on the other elbow. The Center will either be coming in to try to grab an offensive rebound or if the shot doesnt get up, he will play pick and roll then cut to the paint. If the shot goes up and in, he will be able to be the first down the court, With that being said, and body with size and iq will be the answer. but i hope we can find a way to grab Biyombo in the draft. He's only 6'9 but with Mchale, Chuck and Scola Tutorage he can turn out to be a heck of an player
no, we need a defensive stopper in the middle. we already have a hefty scoring punch but lack a defensive presence
Considering Kaman had a issue with staying healthy for a while before recently, I wouldn't gamble on him.
