No they don't. Like you said Kobe is a guy that often has terrible volume shooting nights. In last years finals his game 7 stats really skewed how well he had played and shot for the series and the same can be said in 09 but to a lesser extent.

Wade's in the top 5, I don't know that he's better than Drexler but he's at least as good.

    1.MJ
    2.Kobe

    some order between west,wade,and drexler.

Kobe has played almost 40 Finals games-- that's a big enough sample to be statistically significant. In that span he's shot around 41%, which is godawful no matter how you want to slice it.

So now wade is more athletic than Jordan too?

Listen there is a reason why Wade doesn't take off from the foul line and dunk it.

    He can't do it.

Look at 2:01 of this video and realize that these 3 lakers are helpless to stop this shot. Helpless. He does this routinely.

00, 01, 04, and 08 are all bad finals showings fg% wise for Kobe which is one reason why he can never be compared to Kobe. 2002 was his best finals ever. It is hard to say that he didn't play well in 09 and 10 because if you look at the individual games he has 9 good ones and 3 bad ones. It just so happens that game 5 and game 7 in 09 and 10 respectively are so bad that they bring his shooting percentage way down. Those games are more outliers than proof that he isn't a good finals player. i will admit that for his career his finals resume shooting % wise is not very impressive.

I will not fault Kobe for his bad Finals performances post-Shaq, because overall, like you say, they have been more than just the FG%. He played well against Orlando and was decent against Boston up until the last game (although I didn't like the way he played in one of the road games where he scored a lot but went into total chucker mode for the 2nd half.. and the Lakers predictably lost). During the first threepeat, winning in the Finals was a formality because Shaq was so dominant then that they weren't even close. He averaged over 30/15 for the whole threepeat I believe. That is insane. It's somewhat shocking that Kobe shot so poorly then since he was single- or null-covered the entire time.

Where Kobe really gets the bad Finals rap is in 2004, where he basically led the team to a major upset loss. If he hadn't even played in that series, the Lakers would have gone to Shaq (who was being single-covered by 6'8 Ben Wallace) and they would have won. Kobe truly did chuck them out of that series, and it's something that will forever go down in his legacy. I can't think of another player that had so much negative impact on a team in the Finals. I guess if LeBron repeats his game 4 performance a few more times, he can join Kobe in that honor.

Wade is top 10 SG as of now. No way top 3 in the History of the NBA. There have been way too many legends and good SG. I Would probably put him at number 7-10 for now. Too early.

How so? if anything the chemistry imbalance is causing this team some problems as we speak. Everything they accomplish together counts.

I'd put Ray Allen above Wade right now actually.

    So top 6.

Yeah Kobe really does just go into I'm shooting no matter what mode and it is just a terrible thing to watch. I still think he is the number 2 shooting guard but his refusal to pass the ball in game 7 of last years finals really made me think less of him as a player. He is like a gambler that loses a lot of money but just keeps telling himself that if he plays a little longer he can even things out.

Ray is really, really underrated and the defacto definition of a shooting guard, so very good point. I might move Ray to #2 myself.
